Congratulations Gandtea !!

Just a fleeting visit all. Had to gussie the house up for the photographer this morning for the estate agents brochure . What a palaver but feel obliged to do as asked to get a sale.

We obviously resorted to opening doors and popping stuff in because I just found the local paper on top of the knives and forks in the drawer and the compost tub in the fridge !! Thanks Grampy!!

Sam is feeling discombobulated and expects to be filed in a cupboard any minute.

Hope you are well, I'll pop in tomorrow x

dustya grin

millymouge I wouldn't dream of wearing jeggings. I like to see slender teenagers wearing them together with a short skirt.

Tizliz it's annoying to leave home with vouchers to spend and not find whatever it is that you've set your heart on. MacS almost always buys a book if he receives a voucher Shopping is tiring. I hardly ever go into a busy town these days. I cannot handle the continual noise of traffic.

corner Campbeltown is always windy. Today, the wind was fresh but the sunshine was welcome and there plenty of people eating at the tables outside our favourite hotel - The Royal. We meet up with the same folk every week. Almost a home from home.

G&T Tizliz's Twitter thingy will have appealed to you. Maybe you could have a new ukulele for your 50th anniversary. I send hearty congratulations to you and your lady wife. flowers

Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs GandT!

Charleygirl Fri 29-Jul-16 17:52:46

I am so lucky with Tara- she is on prescription food which has never changed and she eats the same day after day without a murmur.

GandTea Fri 29-Jul-16 18:27:32

LOL Lona, we painted it black, visit to Wickes to get roofing for Summer house.

We are having a quiet night, I cooked (LOL, thanks to Tesco ready meals, lamb shanks) Will settle down to watch Les Mis, again.

Tizliz Fri 29-Jul-16 20:10:08

You know how to give a girl a good time ?

DaphneBroon Fri 29-Jul-16 21:08:49

Happy Anniversary!! ?????

cornergran Fri 29-Jul-16 22:10:45

Happy Anniversary to you both G&T. One year ahead of us. Hope Les Mis lived up to expectations.

DaphneBroon Fri 29-Jul-16 22:14:56

Couldn't you have chosen something just a little more cheerful? grin

NanaandGrampy Sat 30-Jul-16 09:17:08

Morning all !

Normal service is resumed in our house this morning. What a joy to not have to finish my ffee and immediately check for marks and put cup in the dishwasher ! In fact in an act of rebellion Im leaving it on my side table !!

Glad to hear that the little man has seen the experts . It sounds like something that will improve over time but I am sure you will worry until you're SURE hes doing ok so a trip down sounds like just the thing !!

After you have bashed DH over the head with a pan ann I would simply respond every time he says he needs no help ' well I do' and leave it like that. Men !

smile soop I can see Bracken is feeling QUITE at home . Im sure she did wake with a start. Comfort can make you lazy ;-)

What a lovely young woman Ann I can see why you're so proud of her to have gone through such tough times.

I think MacS might be a keeper soopsmile

Im off to cook up a storm . DD2 and family are visiting this evening so we can look at all the holiday photos together and my SiL will have made a video with music etc. He's very good at it and they are always a wonderful reminder of big events and happy days. To celebrate its American food all round so we will be having an eclectic mix with carrot cake and key lime pie for dessert ( the important bits) I shall bring leftovers tomorrow !!

Hello to you lovely lot...I'm about to read your messages. Before I do, here's a pic of Bracken sitting on Rory's favourite cushion and Rory watching her do so. He's a very sweet-natured pussy cat.

soop Sat 30-Jul-16 12:28:37

Charleyg Tara is a wee star. I wonder how she and "our two" would get on. grin

G&T MacS and I enjoy very simple pleasures whenever we have something to celebrate. We are both very easily pleased. smile

NanaandGrampy that's the ticket...as my late Nana would say. Leave the unwashed cup on the table and relax...I remember how on edge we were in your present situation.

Us lot will help to polish off any delicious "leftovers". Oooh! I wish. wink

soop Sat 30-Jul-16 12:30:10

This is the pic of my scorched hand. My arms are covered in scars. I'm such a clumsy mare.

Jalima Sat 30-Jul-16 12:36:31

Oh soop Take care - should it be bandaged with a clean old-fashioned bandage (not plaster) to keep it clean in case the skin should break?
I burnt a couple of fingers last year quite deeply and they blistered badly, but I kept them covered with sterile bandages until they healed and this year I make sure to put sun cream on them.

Galen Sat 30-Jul-16 12:37:51

Keep it clean and dry!
Open to the air is best if possible

Charleygirl Sat 30-Jul-16 12:46:54

soop you should not be allowed near a cooker, oven or iron! That does look nasty and painful.

I do not think that the 3 would get on if they lived under the same roof. Admittedly I do not think that Rory would hound her, he probably cannot be bothered. As for Bracken, same sex, very timid so I do not know.

Tara had a day in bed yesterday having had many late nights out. I have given up worrying about her, I go to bed when I fancy and she wakens me when she comes home.

soop Sat 30-Jul-16 12:48:19

Yes...it's healing well. The blistered bit opens up when it gets wet but after a very short time it's fine again.

soop Sat 30-Jul-16 12:51:35

Charleyg Tara is a feline with her own adventurous agenda. I cannot say the same where R's concerned. Once upon a time, maybe. He's never happier than when he's close to MacSporran.

NanaandGrampy Sat 30-Jul-16 13:27:52

That is a nasty burn soop !! And delicate skin too.

We bought a spray 'skin' back from America , we use it for grazes and the like. I'm not sure how it works but grazes on knees seem to heal very quickly when we use it and no nasties or water can get to it.

I shall have a look and see what it is in case it does for burns too X

The carrot cupcakes are cooling. It's an oil mixture which I always a little dubious about but we shall see smile

NanaandGrampy Sat 30-Jul-16 13:43:41

Unlike the graceful cats or even the graceful Grace.... Sam has no shame !

DaphneBroon Sat 30-Jul-16 13:45:14

gringringrin

soop Sat 30-Jul-16 15:29:13

grin grin grin For Sam

Here is Bracken cooling off on a tussock...Rory's favourite cushion is cat free right now. grin
