Imagine that GNet is paying for a holiday for you and DH or another person. It would be for 3 weeks or less( your choice) and it could be anywhere and any time.Money is no object btw.
So, I would like the full 3 weeks, in September, ( from Sep 1st) in a beautifully appointed villa in Madeira, with a hire car, maid service and cook.I can't wait ! smile

The Orient Express please.

Pittcity Sat 18-Jun-16 20:14:04

Australia and New Zealand to see where DH was born and spent the first few years of his life. First Class all the way.

chloe1984 That sounds like a dream holiday! UK coastline is amazing and in September it will be less crowded and the weather, hopefully, will be pleasantly warm, not too hot. Agree about the food deliveries (I find cooking a real chore) but I'm happy to open bottles of wine! A chauffeur would be an added luxury, someone who could cope cheerfully with negotiating narrow winding lanes in the West Country...

spoilsport rosesarered, so can't go to Antarctica or the Galapagos. {sad]
Strange how we all choose to go in luxury! No-one has said they wanted to camp in a muddy field in a storm with a little gas stove, shoot their rabbits and knit their muesli. Anyone out there want to do that???

It's a funny thing, but when I began to think about this I could only think of people I would like to visit (e.g. my foster son in Taiwan) rather than places I would like to see.

I need to think about this a little more - I'll be back when I've had a ponder.

Venice via the Orient Express please. Hotel overlooking the Grand Canal, private water taxi transfer and available as needed to go to the islands, champagne waiting in the suite, personal chef and maid (butlers are so over rated grin), after 10 days a transfer to Rome, central hotel, personal chef, maid and guide. Business class flight back, please. Oh yes, definitely no rain while we are there. Happy to share the Orient Express with Stansgean. smile. Not that I've thought about this!

A boat trip around Scotland visiting all the islands preferably in the boat the queen hired

rosesarered Tue 21-Jun-16 19:01:04

Would you like the Queen's own staff with the boat? I have checked and they are available.smile

I think maybe three weeks in The Ritz in London. Or the one in New York if I could be magicked there without having to cross all that very deep water. And if I could be guaranteed that all the lovely food wouldn't make me fat.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 21-Jun-16 19:09:02

Or three weeks in Rome in September, in the hotel we stayed in for four nights last year. Right opposite the Pantheon.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 21-Jun-16 19:09:44

It's the hotel that makes the holiday for me.

rosesarered Tue 21-Jun-16 19:11:39

No magic-ing allowed, but you can have any hotel you like ( a suite of rooms?) in any country.Bon voyage!

rosesarered Tue 21-Jun-16 19:12:20

The lovely food WILL make you fat though.grin

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 21-Jun-16 19:12:50

I'll take the Rome hotel.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 21-Jun-16 19:13:11

And I won't worry about the fatness. smile

We are currently spending three weeks in California,(with DS1 and family). The flights have been very expensive. May i request reimbursement from GN?
