Shoes for dgs wedding.....help!

maggiemaybe, when both daughters of my oldest friend married they not only had a full set of grandparents at the weddings, but when their own children were born later the set of grandparents became great grandparents, all still sprightly - and they were able to live to see their great grandchildren grow into teenagers, the last great died recently at 99, still fit (for her age) oh for good genes and becoming a grandparent earlier than i did!.

I have two pairs of Gabor shoes, both very comfortable, bought for weddings originally. They both have a minimal heel because I can't wear anything higher and a small peep toe - about enough for a big toe. One pair is cream, the other pewter.

Have you tried pavers you can search on line and they will deliver to a store near you so you can order several pairs free delivery try them on in store if they dont fit or suit you they send them back also for free they have all types of fittings my sister is also a 3 and has bunions and she often uses their site good hunting hope the sun shines for you x

I have a friends wedding August 2017 and am hoping I wont need my folding wheelchair by then. Shoes may be a problem with one leg in compression bandages and the other in black zipped support stocking. I shall wear black trousers., pretty coloured chiffon lined blouse and my favourite purple leather jacket. But shoes....hmmm.

I have even more difficulty (size 2 continental 35). For my DGDs wedding I wore a pair of zodiaco Italian shoes, very comfortable and stylish. I find Martinelli, Balli and Gabor are very good. All continental designers seem to cater for smaller sizes and I stock up when visiting DD in Spain. Pavers on line have some lovely styles and colours in smaller sizes. I usually order a few pairs to try and send the remainder back, though I have sometimes been tempted to keep more than 1 pair. (wink) Whatever you choose it is most important that they are comfortable.

I was going to suggest Pavers too, I have had a few pairs of their sandals and they have been comfortable and wear well.

Hotter shoes and sandals are fab! Lovely colours and sooooo comfy. You'll wonder how you ever managed without them.

The shoes all have insoles you can take out to put in your own moulded ones if you have them.

Van dal have some lovely low wedges with peep toes for special occasion. I bought a pair in nougat suaede for my grandaughters wedding and i have awkward painful feet.

Hi, I have the same problems as you. Most High Street shops don't go small enough. Have you looked at Pavers.co.uk? Good web site. I used to be 3.5, but shoe sizes have changed now and I'm a 3 or 2.5 both of which Pavers sell.

The Queen wears beige shoes. On a couple of occasions I have bought very cheap OTT clip on earrings in a matching colour and put them on my court shoes. I have a pair of clip on earrings with "diamonds" bigger than sugar lumps but they look great on shoes!!

French Sole. Quite expensive but loads of colours. I scoured London for the colour I needed in a flat but pretty shoe and was so relieved when I found this company that I didn't mind the price. Son's wedding after all!

Could you wear ones without a peep-toe if they had extra toe space? Like these. I like the red - not very near the ivory of your jacket, but possibly matches the red dress? It also comes in beige, black or navy, but I don't like those as much.

I to suffer from arthritis in feet, knees, back etc so comfortable, well padded shoes are essential. After many years of expensive mistakes I absolutely agree that both Pavers and Hotters are the best. You will have to scroll through many pages on Pavers, but they have some reasonably priced, very pretty shoes and sandals. Good luck.

Am now spoilt for choice! Have narrowed it down to around 4 pairs which I'm going to show the DDs. Thanks again for all your help

Let us know what you choose Katek. I chose Clarks sandles for a wedding in Italy last week. I knew my feet would get hot and swollen, they were comfortable all day.
I bought them in the shop though, never had any luck with shoes on line.

I got married for the second time at 53 and had both my parents there. Both husbands however were already orphans.

Anyway, about shoes! DD and I both had Skecher sandals (white with diamontes and soooo comfortable) for her big day/night as well as bridal/MOTB type shoes which survived only the church service. My shoes were bought in BHS for £30 and were very smart with a low heel ... I've never been one for high heels much to DH's disappointment!!!
We went from church to the reception by boat where heels weren't allowed so great excuse for making ourselves comfortable!
