? thought that would be a good idea. So if someone is annoying you and you wish to say so perhaps rather than ruining the conversation you could refer the person to whom you wish to have a go at to this thread and then you could argue to your hearts content, being a pain in the ass to everyone else.

This is going to be so popular I just know it is??????????

It means the poster has other things that need getting on with - like cooking the dinner. Cari just happened to have that one in a drawer when I asked for one.

Anya Sat 28-May-16 10:03:23

No, this thread won't work. As an example, if we had a poster called grannyseriouslyupherself (which of course we don't) she would be the last person to come on this thread and give us her head for boiling, wouldn't she? hmm

Yes I was thinking of bickering I suppose, as I can argue/ debate with the best.

Anya Sat 28-May-16 09:59:27

GandTea Sat 28-May-16 09:58:26

Sorry TB, that is far too long and serious. NEXT

thatbags Sat 28-May-16 09:58:12

PS so I shall continue to argue and to challenge wherever the hell I like and I hope others do too. Free speech and freely.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 28-May-16 09:57:17

Oh God. I don't believe I posted that. Madness is kicking in.

ffinnochio Sat 28-May-16 09:57:03

Inhad is my argumentative, picky and contradictory alter-ego.

No emojis allowed on this thread - it dilutes/defeats the essence of the argument ! Let the words stand alone.

Sometimes argument simply means discussion. There is too much argumentism in the world: fear of, dislike of argument, prejudice against it. Likewise challenges to bullshit: challenges to bullshit or rudeness are not argument, they are challenges, call outs.

It annoys me that so many people don't really understand that argument and challenging should be respected and used, not feared and disliked.

Bickering, on the other hand, which is probably what the OP is concerned about, is another matter.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 28-May-16 09:56:06

shock I don't want to hear about your sex life!

whitewave Sat 28-May-16 09:51:13

whitewave Sat 28-May-16 09:50:42

Elegran Sat 28-May-16 09:50:28

Time's up. Next! If you wanted the half-hour argument why did you book the five-minute one?

STITCH THAT, PAL!!!!!!!grin

trisher Sat 28-May-16 09:36:50

Elegran "That's not argument that's just contradiction." Monty Python anyone?

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 28-May-16 09:23:01

Why do I seem to have got a total sense of humour failure this morning?

GandTea Sat 28-May-16 09:16:08

or the Scottish version -- STITCH THAT !

Elegran Sat 28-May-16 09:08:37

Perhaps we need two argument threrads - one for the five minute argument, one for the half-hour one.

No we don't.
Yes we do.
No.
Yes.
Are you deaf? I said NO WE DON'T.
