I'm in Oxfordshire too, Roses. And the rain truly is tipping it down. The wind has died down a bit though ww. Looking forward to tomorrow (might need double my weight in apple strudel to make up for today).

Today is let wind trash everything day. Oh joy

I will need a quadruple portion to get over today, and only clotted cream and icecream will do.

But cheer up! For tomorrow is 'eat your own body weight of apple strudel day' a day that many of us look forward to ( I have the double cream all ready.)??

It's certainly 'Biblical torrents of water coming from the Heavens' day here in Oxfordshire.I was out in it earlier,planting a shrub ( a Choisya Ternata, since you ask.)

Now it's Don't Bother Watering A Flower The Rain Will Do it For You Day - well, it soon will be here anyway.

I'm starting an "Equal Water for All" movement for all those flowers who didn't get watered. We will be demonstrating and presenting a petition to Parliament.

Today was 'have a new pair of rubber gloves day'- which I especially enjoyed, 'cos I'm getting a dishwasher soon, and I shan't need 'em anymore!

Sometimes a day starts off normally and ends up being special. I think the unplanned days are sometimes the most wonderful because you had no expectations.

If I wear pompoms, do I end-up being "pom diddly om pom"?

Yes, I am covered in pom poms as we speak ( or type) although I did get some strange looks in the garden centre, I don't think everyone knows about it.

Today is pom pom day, to get the look, cover your clothes in double sided sticky tape, and then roll on all the pom poms..and tadar!! Pompom outfit!

It is my 80th birthday+1week, so definitely a cake (and champagne) day, are my celebrations never-ending.?
