About 10 days ago I took in a parcel for a neighbour, the courier said he would put a note through their door to let them know. Since then I have been round to the house several times and although the car was in the drive no-one answered the door. They are a very private couple and no-one in the village has their phone number. I did find an old email address and I sent them an email but no reply. I know they aren't away because I hear the driveway gate squeaking when the husband leaves for work in the morning (around 6.30 - too early for me to be up!). It is quite a large parcel and I am fed up of it sitting on the bottom step of my stairs. I don't want to just leave it outside their door (the husband is a bit of a wine snob and I think the parcel contains some expensive wine).
