An Amazon delivery

'They' being Amazon not the neighbours.....

I better stop faffing around and get dressed and in my right mind.

The request of course was for Monday.
Not Saturday! - so I don't know if they tried there, but neighbours weren't in.

They do now know their carrier messed up.

But the email delay is so annoying too, because It meant I went out.

Oh dear, must tell next door they won't need to take it in now!

Amazon don't do deliveries themselves, they send stuff by carrier. Can you find the name of the carrier who ignored your request to leave it with a neighbour and instead put it in the porch, and complain direct to them?

I used Amazon to send a book to my sister in Nova Scotia ideally for Christmas, but more realistically for her birthday in January. It hadn't arrived by the date it should have so I emailed and got a bit plaintive at the delay. They immediately sent another copy by express delivery (all at no extra charge) which was due to arrive 2 days later.They said that if it arrived in the interim, it was too expensive to process a return and to keep the second copy, or give it away.
Just as well because I found an email in my disused old email inbox from her from the previous day thanking me
I hope the local charity shop, or my niece benefited.
But no complaints about Amazon from here

Not surprised really. Amazon is a big impersonal organisation - they don't do personal service. But at least you've told them.

I have received a sort of standard apology...not impressed as it didn't say anything about my problem.

Just think, I could have - on Monday night - told them it hadn't arrived...........and made out someone nicked it...........

Yes! You have to make your way to the right place but can then send an email.

I had an email from Amazon saying my package had been delivered to a neighbour at no 70 ( there is no 70 in this road) it gave the name as John Smith ( no one by that name lives in this road. ) when I got home... I found the package in my porch! What was going on?

I can't help you there Alie. I find Amazon are almost impossible to contact except by their very rigid, prescriptive methods for specific queries only. They seem to have no intention of entering any dialogue with customers other than conversations they choose to have.
You can, of course, leave a customer review on the item to tell everyone in no uncertain terms how annoyed you are. But they will almost certainly ignore it. Very annoying.

I had a package delivered the other they sent an email saying it would be delivered Wednesday and it came on Tuesday literally as we pulled into the drive after shopping. I did think there was somewhere on the website for complaints sorry I can't look now on my way out.
