I used Amazon to send a book to my sister in Nova Scotia ideally for Christmas, but more realistically for her birthday in January. It hadn't arrived by the date it should have so I emailed and got a bit plaintive at the delay. They immediately sent another copy by express delivery (all at no extra charge) which was due to arrive 2 days later. They said that if it arrived in the interim, it was too expensive to process a return and to keep the second copy, or give it away.
Just as well because I found an email in my disused old email inbox from her from the previous day thanking me
I hope the local charity shop, or my niece benefited.
But no complaints about Amazon from here
