The rain it rains upon the just,
And on the unjust fella,
But chiefly on the just, because
The unjust has his umbrella.

Think it's the 'ungodly' Newquay but I usually forget about that bit...sunshine

Yes I wondered that about King of Bahrain-who he then?
I always understood Juliette that the sun shines on the righteous AND the unrighteousness! Lol!
I'm not a member of that church Annibach. I was told by a neighbour who "works for father". He also had the drive to his house tarmacced as parents were blocking him in-should think a good blocking in would do him good-tee hee.
Well he won't be asked anyway.

I wish that they would get whoever organised this event to do the same for the Eurovision Song Contest. It was seamless - so well co-ordinated. Compare and contrast with the ESC - disjointed, presenters having to read their scripts from cards, unfunny jokes, toe-curling tedious preambles and worst of all - no darling Tel to make it all worth listening to. Sorry to digress but the contrast was notable.

The King of Bahrein eh Jing? Wonder why he got such a special seat ??? grin

Juliette Tue 17-May-16 08:27:27

What a mean spirited attitude Newquay but as the sun always shines on the righteous you should be ok.
sunshine sunshine

Newquay, as a member of the church why do you not speak to the PCC ? write to the Bishop?

Newquay Tue 17-May-16 07:48:35

Thanks Juliette-will send letter out to neighbour's then.
Last time we had the church hall on standby at the end of the road in case of bad weather but new priest now and he won't let us use hall-in case we mess up floor! He's also closed play school (it didn't pay enough) and youth club too! Fine Christian example to community don't you think?

The King of Bahrain.

Neversaydie Mon 16-May-16 18:32:41

Didn't watch but the guy with the moustache appears to have his tongue out in the Metro pic ...

whitewave Mon 16-May-16 18:31:03

As in Charles?

rosesarered Mon 16-May-16 18:29:23

Dickens nankate

specki4eyes Mon 16-May-16 18:28:53

Anyone know who the mustachioed guy sitting on the Queen's right hand was?

whitewave Mon 16-May-16 18:20:56

I tried very hard but the presenters drove me mad, so I switched off. Then I tried the playback by running through the commentary. That drove me mad too so I gave up.

I liked the colour of Her Maj's coat. Would suit me that.

Have yet to watch this on catch up.
We had a street party for the wedding-when should we have another one? What date?

NanKate Mon 16-May-16 06:02:18

smile I think Smike was the name of someone in a 1960s play, or was he a character from Dickens ?

NanKate Mon 16-May-16 06:00:59

Must watch last half hour on catch up as I missed our Shirl. [smike]

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 15-May-16 23:28:22

Yes. Queen enjoyed it too. smile

merlotgran Sun 15-May-16 23:26:44

Shirley Bassey was just the ticket. I thought the whole thing was very enjoyable and well put together.

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 15-May-16 23:25:51

Yep! Shirley can still belt it out. grin

Queen's got plenty of horses!

Jomarie Sun 15-May-16 23:19:55

Shirley Bassey was fab, as usual, at least we were spared Paul McCartney this time (ducks below the parapet) grin

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 15-May-16 23:11:42

I'm slightly on catch-up.

merlotgran Sun 15-May-16 23:05:02

Lovely to see her family riding into the ring. Lady Louise is so shy. Zara looked great and Princess Anne is amazing for her age.

Ponies from Balmoral had a long journey down to London.
