we have had a swarm of bees in the garden and the noise was incredible. Ok once you know what it is but frightening at first.

thatbags Mon 06-Jun-16 14:57:41

Minibags and I ate ours (hot) with knife and fork too. Does that make us ladies? [snort]

soop Mon 06-Jun-16 15:00:17

hmm wink let me think about it, bags

soop Mon 06-Jun-16 15:06:06

MacSporran has been assisting me with a complicated (not) order for fresh art supplies. I so wish that we could have been secretly filmed. It (the film) would have gone viral. grin We must have measured the mounts required at least a dozen times. MacS kept contradicting me (and I him)and the conflab that transpired has lost us two hours of this perfectly glorious day. You gotta laff.

Lona Mon 06-Jun-16 15:07:58

Oh my! It was 29° in my car this morning and that is way too hot for me.
Wall to wall sunshine, enough for everyone sunshine
Just been for another look at the apartment flat that I'm hopefully going to move into. I'm really happy with it, so light and airy. The landlord has put fake grass on the balcony grin What more can I ask?

ffinnochio Mon 06-Jun-16 15:15:13

Very pleased for you, lona.

soop Mon 06-Jun-16 17:07:53

Lona It's good to know that you are feeling upbeat. Big hug for your landlord. He sounds like a very decent fella.

Hello *ffinnochio. The beautiful velvet scarf is still waiting for an appropriate outing. The weather is far too warm at the moment. I do however have the perfect top with which it will be worn. smile

Goodbye folks, nice to have known you. I had hoped to bring a little humour to the in fighting that seems to be the mainstay of GN now. But I have been reported for trying to be humourous and it appears that GN has agreed. Don't see any point if you can;t have a joke. Shame that GN has come to this. As a few of you know I have been on GN since day 1 in another guise. It is now a dour shame of what it was, primarily due to some professional complainers. This will probably get me banned , but it won't make a lot of difference as I will be gone. I would hope that the moderators could bring GN back to it's former enjoyable self. Love you all Pompa.

soop Mon 06-Jun-16 17:18:29

If you leave us lot we shall miss you. You do bring a sense of fun into our kitchen. Please reconsider. I'm being serious.

soop Mon 06-Jun-16 17:20:04

Buggeration time yet again, dear Kitcheners I happen to be very fond of GandTea aka Pompa

annsixty Mon 06-Jun-16 17:21:32

What a travesty. Don't go pompa stsand up to the b*****s. We need some lightening of the mood sometimes and no I hadn't seen through your "disguise.

soop Mon 06-Jun-16 17:22:58

angry sad that a very decent person feels that he has to go. GandTea has a good heart and a cheerful attitude. What more do we want.

soop Mon 06-Jun-16 17:24:17

annsixty Thank you for your kind words. I'm pretty well pissed off with some so-called "do gooders".

Bellanonna Mon 06-Jun-16 17:28:41

With you there, soop

soop Mon 06-Jun-16 17:35:04

Bellanonna I took a look at the forum to which GandTea refers. It is obviously about garden pests. Why cannot some nosy-parkers look elsewhere for niggle-fodder. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

soop Mon 06-Jun-16 17:37:59

It takes a heck of a lot of nonsense to get me going. I like to believe that I'm a peace loving, sensitive soul.

annsixty Mon 06-Jun-16 17:39:36

Neither do I. When I found the offending thread I couldn't believe it as Mr McEnroe could have said.

soop Mon 06-Jun-16 17:40:56

smile annsixty

Bellanonna Mon 06-Jun-16 17:51:47

Yes soop. I've read it now and found it very amusing. It's quite sad that anyone can take offence at such an attemp at levity - much needed on here methinks. But the complaining was obviously done in private. Anonymously! Hmm...

soop Mon 06-Jun-16 17:57:21

I'm afraid that my playtime is over. I need to log off. Before I do, I wish to say that GandTea is one of us lot. I would be very happy to find him lolling in the kitchen sometime tomorrow. There is a bottle of G&T in the cupboard. Plenty of tonic water, ice and lime. Please treat him tenderly.

Tomorrow is care home visiting day. I shall catch up with our Kitcheners just as soon as I return.

smile and moon

I never saw through the disguise GandTea/Pompa, please don`t go, stay with us and ignore the troublemakers. PLEASE!

Alea Mon 06-Jun-16 18:34:27

Just a thought...and perhaps an unkind one, but some people who are still, posting this afternoon/evening are conspicuously silent on the old escargot thread. hmm

Bellanonna Mon 06-Jun-16 18:38:54

Yeah, you're right there Alea

dustyangel Mon 06-Jun-16 18:56:10

How ridiculous. I hadn't seen through your disguise GandT/Pompa but I thought the gardening thread funny and can think of at least a couple of other immigrants in the plant world that are invasive foreigners.
Don't let them get you down P, please stay with us.

Lovely photograph Bellasnanna you are obviously born to a life of ease and luxury. wink

Tegan Mon 06-Jun-16 19:03:44

'Just a thought...and perhaps an unkind one, but some people who are still, posting this afternoon/evening are conspicuously silent on the old escargot thread. hmm'....that DOESN'T mean that anyone that doesn't post on that thread is guilty of reporting it, though, does it? I've actually been feeling awkward that, by not commenting people might assume it's me [it wasn't]. It almost feels like a witch hunt sad. I certainly don't want pompa to leave, but I'm not going to comment elsewhere just to clear myself sad...
