Help! My daughter can't marry Mr Willey

I knew on Olive. Branch and Rhoda Horsey. Both names by marriage of course.When I was teaching we often used to put the initial and the surname together. For example Susan Melrose was referred to as Smelrose.

I worked with a Dickie Bird in my youth. We stuck on tail onto the back of his jacket as a bit of fun. It would not be allowed these days.

I knew an Eileen Bending too. And some one I knew called Sidebottom pronounced it Siddy - both 'am with th emphasis on the last syllable. My parents knew a Miss Gash who married a Mr Gore .

I know a couple whose surname is Willey. Her maiden name was Dick. Don't know how the vicar kept a straight face taking them through their marriage vows. They were meant for each other as they have been married for ever.

My music teacher at school was Miss Frost, she married a Mr. Glass, so we called her Frosted glass. And my hairdresser years ago was Renee Rocket, married a man called Moon, no kidding! We said the rocket had gone to the moon!

I know a Balls who married a Woodcock. Bit unfortunate that, I feel.

I once heard of a Roland Suppards but this is only hearsay, I can't vouch for it. It tickled me though. I heard he came to a sticky end, he was found floating down the river.
