Never heard of this but actually I tried to find the original post but couldn't.

GS was OK this morning - but that it how it has been all through. We are waiting and hoping that he will not go into the pattern of vomiting during the afternoon as he has been doing for 10 days. We just have our fingers crossed. Thanks for asking.

Re your Remoska, have you tried contacting Lakeland?

I have a Remoska and never had a proper shallow pan. I use a cheap non-stick 8" cake tin from Asda which fits perfectly inside. I hope you find something suitable.

GS is at home - they are still treating it as an infection of some sort. We are just waiting and hoping it will subside at some point. I have not heard anything this afternoon and I am working on the principle that no news is good news - we will ring later.

I rang Lakeland and they do not have any left. All the googling I have done just brings up the new style remoska. It is very annoying when these things become obsolete.

Thanks for letting me know, fingers crossed then. Takes a while for anti-biopics to hit in - if that is his treatment.

No treatment - just push fluids. He is so thin bless him. It would be lovely to see an end to this and have our chubby mischievous little man back. We just have to hope.

All being well this time next week the nightmare will be over and he will be back to his old self - children bounce back quickly don't they?

Nellie - it is a tabletop cooker that consists of a round pan on a stand with a lid that has a heating element round the circumference. You can cook anything really from roasts to casseroles. I use it a lot to make fish pie, roast potatoes, sausages, fish cakes. It is supposed to be more economical than using the oven - it is certainly easier to clean as you just wash the pan.

Bought ours to use in our caravan. Ideal. Now use it at home. The energy monitor shows that is is very economical. We love it.

You're welcome Luckygirl . I use our grand to cook the turkey crown every Christmas, always turns out lovely and moist and love cooking a chicken in it. I use it more often n the summer when I don't want to turn the big oven on.

Is it the same as a halogen?

I should contact Lakeland, they are generally very helpful. They replaced mine when I had problems.

I have spoken to Lakeland and it was them who told me that the spare pans are now unobtainable.

I've just watched a demo of a Remoska on Youtube and it does seem very similar to my halogen but a lot more expensive to buy. I recommend halogens to anyone considering this type of cooking. I use mine every day and love it.

Worth looking on eBay to see if anyone is selling one.
