It's a bright start in North Leicestershire and I'm going to finish the last bit of garden awakening and then do the good bit - planning what to put in the gaps! Then a visit to mum this afternoon.

Good morning. How lovely to see the sun today after snow in Belfast yesterday! It's nippy but springlike. Plenty of free running for our spaniel today, I think! She will come home covered in mud but happy. ?

going for walk later with small DGC and then to the park where free fun will be had on the swings and slides ( they have had a few expensive treats already this Easter.)The mix of sun and rain is making the plants ( and weeds) shoot up, so a bit of gardening may be done later on.

Sunny but windy here in South Wales. A busy day for us as today is my father's 101st birthday. One of my brothers is taking him to a carvery for lunch (too difficult logistically for us all to go together), but we are meeting up afterwards in a local garden centre for a cup of coffee.
