Cynicism

Do you think you have written this because it is the day after April Fool's.

Personally I think this site is too small to have posters making too much up.

Newquay, If you say things like that, that people are making it all up or attention seeking, then you could put off a genuine person seeking advice and/or comfort.

alea all, well anyway most of us know you're real, don't worry.

I assume all threads to be genuine (unless obviously a scam, which is rare).

If someone is just posting to "get attention", perhaps they need it and our attention will help them.

There are however posts that are deliberately provocative (devils advocate). Some times I ignore them, others, I enjoy a good scrap. (Yes I have been guilty of being provocative, before someone says it|)

I know we're not meant to have "threads about threads", but I am not sure I see what you are getting at (maybe it's me though)

I assume the vast majority of posts are genuine. I think to gain attention on line anonymously would be very odd.
