Motifs on children's clothing.

Wrong! Had another look at the Asda T shirt and it's obviously only suitable from age 7/8 upwards. Still think it looks very tacky.

I just don't think it supports young girls to be free of stereotypical 'beauty' images. Would not be my choice and would not have wanted DDs to wear it (or want to look like barbie!)

Last year we were lucky if there was a day warm enough to wear a dress to school - live near Edinburgh!

I hate motifs and designer logos on clothes with a passion - I don't mind the books, lunchboxes, mugs, toys, whatever, but clothes look tacky with all these images on them.
Being rather cynical, I wonder if the manufacturers realise that not only do they make for sales, they can't be recycled to the next child down because - horror of horrors- they'll have gone out of fashion!
It'll be 'Frozen' one day and Dolce&Banana the next - it must be very hard on children from less well--off homes to see their peers in swanky designer items when their parents can only afford to buy them normal clothes!

I am dismayed by the thought of logos appearing on school uniform. At school, I suspect these logos will in time turn out to be a great big fuss about very litttle. I think they will be distracting at first and I do think they shoud be banned, but it if they are not, I hope they will prove to be a novelty that will soon wear off within the classroom.

I am a grumpy old git when it comes to any branded clothing, I simply didn't buy it for my children and didn't 'give in' when pestered. As they grew into their teen years, if they desperately wanted the logos, they had to find the extra cost for them from their pocket money. They soon sorted their priorities and decided it wasn;t worth it. They are not now 'slaves to clothing brands', which to my mind are simply an excuse to over-price items and reflect a lack of imagination rather than being a badge of a certain level of affluence.

I have noticed, over time, that children who sport t-shirts that say things like ' I am a little monster' - generally are. Just saying . I wouldn't impose that kind of a 'label' on a child.

Well this does not surprise me but I am appalled by this.M&S out for a quick buck with a bit of advertising.

You see Disney logos every where but to put it on school clothing is just wrong. Why should M & S do the Disney corporations advertising for them. I have an aversion to children being used as advertising hoardings.

Well so far us Gnrs do not seem to be keen on these logoed and branded products!
I don't have any DGDs I wonder if this idea appeals more to girls than boys.
I always avoided them with my own children.

On holiday, a couple of days ago, I saw in a shop a tee shirt with a pic of a demented looking robot, with the slogan, "kill all humans". Was sorely tempted to buy it for younger grandson. He would have loved it. Sadly they didn't have it in his size.

Can't see what all the fuss is about. If the kids are happy, who cares? (So long as it's not wholly inappropriate, of course. Like the one one I saw online, "Daddy's little squirt"!)

Can't understand the Marks and Sparks thing at all. Why, for goodness sake?!

Wow! A bit near the knuckle! What site was that jingle ?
