Pixies! Pixies! Where on earth did that come from? shock I typed piccies.

Lona Wed 04-May-16 19:38:56

Oooh I'm so excited for you now soop Torbs will be delighted to see you both sunshine

Well, the lady who is interested in my house has asked lots of questions which I answered yesterday, and she has booked a second viewing on Saturday morning! Please all cross fingers and toes and hope she puts me out of my misery! When I eventually move we shall all have lots of bubbly and exotic drinks, served by two handsome young men wearing natty aprons. Nothing else, just aprons!! grin

Charleygirl Wed 04-May-16 20:17:43

Galen is it possible to use your luggie indoors as well as out?

soop it only takes somebody else to spill something on your smart jeans and you are not taking anything else? Sod's law would be working hard the days that you are away!

I cannot believe that it has been such a pleasant, warm day today. I still do not have the heating on- a minor miracle.

Galen Wed 04-May-16 20:21:33

Yes. It's easy to use indoors.

annsixty Wed 04-May-16 20:48:22

I am so ready for your party Lona champagne happens to be my nearly best tipple as I just love cocktails so I can't go wrong.
Seriously I hope it goes smoothly for you, everything is crossed, and with arthritis tnsyy is difficult but I will do it for you.

annsixty Wed 04-May-16 20:50:16

That! Bugger the tab!et.

Charleygirl Wed 04-May-16 21:20:03

Lona that really is good news. A second viewing is fantastic. Please remember that you do not accept the first ridiculous offer that you are given. You are not giving it away and if this lady is not the one, there will be another coming fairly soon.

Would you believe it if I told you that I have never had a cocktail in my life? I also prefer a cup of coffee to a glass of bubbly- I am cheap to keep.

Thanks Galen I also note that they can be hired. I was thinking about the short period of time after my next knee replacement when I could not go out to buy a loaf of bread etc and I hate relying on others. I think that it was 2 months before I was allowed to drive before and it may be marginally longer this time because it is my left knee and I do not have an automatic.

Crafting Wed 04-May-16 21:25:09

Great news Lona fingers all crossed. Only two handsome young men Lona? We need more than two..Galen would pinch both of them for starters wink We certainly need more than two! grin

Galen Wed 04-May-16 22:28:19

Unfortunately you are not near me or I cd show you..
I speed cruise sedately round the ship in mine and it goes through the narrowest cabin door on any ship. ( they are much narrower than normal house doors!)

Tizliz Wed 04-May-16 22:41:03

Think it must be bedtime, I thought the 'hiring' related to the handsome young men in aprons

Lona Wed 04-May-16 22:47:22

Charleygirl I shall make sure you have as much coffee as you want but I think annsixty deserves lots of bubbly!
I've already had two ridiculous offers, swiftly refused, but I do so want to get on with my life. I've been in this limbo for several years, knowing that I have to sell thanks to my con artist sil! I keep telling myself that it's an adventure hmm
Crafting, I think you may be right about Galen shock so more young hunks will be ordered! wink

kittylester Thu 05-May-16 10:05:47

Did I hear mention of young hunks - wearing just pinnies AND serving champagne! I'll be there! And, I'll force charley's bubbly down. In fact, I'll bring some mixers as well. With the weather as it is we could have the party in the garden! flowerswine

Charleygirl Thu 05-May-16 10:11:27

Thanks Galen I have googled it and i could get a home demo if I wanted. I do not need one just now thank goodness as I can get to and into my car. I can walk but not very far. I am giving up this old age thing and reverting to 29 again even if it means going back to work but I would choose another profession.

Lona Please stick to your guns- as I said before you are not giving your home away. We are behind you as you are aware.

Washing machine is on the go again today- another beautiful day here in London. Tara is out, no doubt I will not see her until 8pm tonight-that is the life.

Galen Thu 05-May-16 10:45:44

I wish

Charleygirl Thu 05-May-16 11:03:06

Galen what are you wishing for?

soop Thu 05-May-16 12:38:16

grin You lot are priceless.

Lona You are getting there. Yes...it's an adventure. New beginnings beckon. sunshine
hmm Only two handsome hunks in flimsy aprons. I think that we'll need a troop to wait upon us in style. One each at least! wink

Charleyg I'm sticking to the one pair of smart jeans. My bag is far too small for an extra pair. I'm a happy bunny. Rory, on the other hand...

My mobile phone is far from smart. I do not own a tablet thingy. I'm so last century. I shall miss you lot but I'm confident that you'll continue to be kind and supportive. I shall pop in again to say adieu.

Tizliz Thu 05-May-16 12:45:21

Are all the handsome blokes drifting in already from gransnet's tie up with Mills & Boon?

Lovely day here, grass cut and washing on line. Could be a mistake sitting down, might not be able to get up - the grass was hard work and took over 90 minutes.

annsixty Thu 05-May-16 12:55:08

I am feeling rather chuffed today as I have a diagnosis of something I can't pronounce. I only get common ailments like arthritis and colds but I now have Polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy, and I only know this beccsuse I received a copy of a letter sent to my GP from Manchester Eye Hospital.
I must have looked so old and decrepit the Dr must have thought he didn't need to try and explain it to me and it basically means I have an eye with a blind spot. They may try to treat it!!.

Galen Thu 05-May-16 12:55:16

I'm wishing for handsome hunks in aprons. I could put them to work clearing and reorganising my utility room and two bedrooms

soop Thu 05-May-16 13:11:42

annsixty That's a result. Knowing what the problem is, can mean treating it accordingly. I will not accept that you are old and decrepit. You are a Kitchener...bold, brave and beautiful. flowers

Tizliz I love the smell of newly mown grass.

Galen I've said it before...and I shall say it again - *TYKE!*

soop Thu 05-May-16 13:14:15

Tizliz Are there hunks in Mills & Boon? I've always thought that the chaps were decent and well-behaved. Far too tame for Us lot grin

soop Thu 05-May-16 13:15:33

A short list of household duties to perform. Away for now. Back a little later.smile

Bellanonna Thu 05-May-16 14:23:01

Well it's good to have a diagnosis ann - a rather important-sounding one, no less.
And please, none of this old and decrepit business. Well, you are only slightly ahead of me! We are young! I won't say as young as we feel as, in my case anyway, I'd prefer not to think thst way. Still struggling to overcome that long haul bug/ pneumonia, but my dentist today was very reassuring and said oh, don't worry, it can take months before you feel yourself again. I was genuinely reassured by that as I was worried about my current zombie- like existence. So hopefully in a few months I shall get some of my get up and go back. ( sorry punctuation takes too long!)

soop. Hope you're on some meds for thst UTI. And drinking by the bucketload. I'm talking water here. Have a lovely time in Sussex. It's very warm down here at the moment. I've been out weeding. No, I went out to weed, then thought it was more important to get some vit D in a more relaxed way so I've been sitting in the shade and listening to the birds, getting some dappled sun through the branches.

Have yourself a lovely time with your little grandson. Keep the jeans clean!

soop Thu 05-May-16 16:04:56

That bug is a blighter, Bella...I really do hope that you'll soon feel a good deal better.
Yes, taking the meds (again) and drinking water. The weather here is glorious. I shall most definitely feel the difference in temperature when we head south.
If I were you, I would continue to sit in the dappled sunlight and savour the peace and quiet of your garden.

Crafting Thu 05-May-16 16:10:54

Trust you to want those hunky young men in your bedrooms Galen wink and it. sounds as though you'd have no problem chasing after them in your luggie too! ?
