Do you like your own firstname?

Following on from the thread 'do you like your grandchild's name' I wondered how many of us like our own name and what would you rather be called? I quite like mine now as its seems to suit me /I've grown into it but as a child I wanted to be called Isabel. I told DH this when we met and he said something I have never heard before 'Isabell necessary on a bicycle?' I still like the name and apologies to all Isabel's out there. (Mine is Susan by the way there were four of us in my class at school!)

I've never really thought about liking/disliking it-it's just there!! I suppose as I have no strong feelings then I must be quite content. It is a little unusual and I don't personally know another one. It certainly hasn't been mentioned as a given name on this thread!! My surname on the other hand is almost unique...very few of us in UK and we're all related. My first name was better matched to my maiden name.

I didn't mean I was unique-there are others with my name - just not in my personal sphere of reference. A few of us on the tv!!

Patricia, after Mum's favourite sister, and Margaret, after Dad's sister (though she was Peggy.)
I'm always called Tricia by family, and like another Patricia on here, Pat after leaving school.
I don't mind it, but can think of many others I would prefer.
