Paul McCartney is 64+9 ( nearly 10) years

I wonder if Nancy sent him a Valentine? grin

Pop songs are written by the young for the young, so what did the researchers expect? And it's nothing new:-

Ronsard: "Quand vous serez bien vieille, au soir, a la chandelle,"

I won't go on in French; my predictive text can't cope, and I can't cope with my predictive text!

Then there's that old perv Chevalier with "Ah yes, I remember it well," and his grotesque song "Valentine" about the aging process.

Can I claim a research grant?

I am losing it! I started to type about a theme song I like to a TV programme but can't remember the name of the programme confused - it was a song by Denis Waterman about not caring if 'you're old and grey' and then 'we're getting to the end of the day' .....

I agree to a point (but not really surprised.)

What I do find odd is that it's someone's job to research this.

You can read anything into anything if you try hard enough. With so many terrible things going on in the world do we really need to be nit-picking over a bunch of old records and worrying about the message they are portraying?
