Had a text from DD to say hers had arrived and she and grandson had been having a good laugh.

Yes, we saw them in there as well, but went into Smiths first because I wanted to get an adult colouring book and some fibre pens as a birthday present for my DD from her little girl. What with Mother's Day tomorrow and her birthday on Tuesday - it's costing me a fortune! I love it .

They have them in Waterstones as well as Smiths.

It was twice the price of the Amazon one

Sorry Indi! I only saw the book on the Mumsnet site yesterday. You might be able to get one at Smiths or a local bookshop if you are shopping today.

I was in tears at Christmas reading the books that DD bought for her husband [he hadn't heard of them]. They're very much a case of 'why didn't I think of that'.

We've bought copies of that for our daughters, both of them are celebrating their first mother's day as new mums. I bought the Ladybird book of Sheds for himself on Valentine's Day. He had to laugh, though he tried hard not to. The new Ladybird books on Mindfulness and being a Hipster are also entertaining.

DD and I bought the Dad book for each other. Then I bought The Wife and she bought The Mum. Several pages of The Mum summed up her life so brilliantly - I love them.

I bought dsil The Hangover one for Xmas.......everybody else thought it was funny!!

Yes. I wish I'd seen it sooner metlot. I found it when I was having a quick visit to the Other Place. They've got a list of 'Books to buy Mum'. They seem to be making more of Mothers Day over there.
