I've just come back from taking the dogs for a walk on heathland near here in North Shropshire. Such a difference from yesterday! The sun was shining, the sky was blue, just a breeze blowing - and up above us 2 skylarks were singing their hearts out! What a wonderful start to the day ☺

How wonderful Badenkate. If two of them, they were probably displaying. It's so early to see or hear them, particularly now as they are on a red list for scarcity. I'm sure that made your day and I certainly found the image uplifting.

I was up on the downs behind our house in Oxfordshire earlier this week and was stunned to hear skylarks. I stood still for at least 5 minutes just listening to them.
