.....for me it would be not having to get up to pee 3 times a night.

I would love to be able to swim, I have spent a fortune over the years on lessons, even tried hypnotherapy but can't get past my fears. I know how to swim and can swim in the baby pool but can't transfer to the bigger pool even though the shallow water is only about 4cm deeper than the baby pool

Things are getting better round here. DH slept through all the coughing last night. sunshine

To cease tossing and turning and feeling overly hot, just to go back to getting a full night's undisturbed sleep would be wonderful.

I am like you mumbledore I am terrified of water on my face. I can't even wash my hair facing the shower, my head has to be right back. We have stayed in villas with their own pool where I have vowed to beat it even wearing armbands but as soon as I have water up to my chest I can't breathe and have to get out. It is so illogical.

I would also like to sleep better, but my main thing would be to pass my driving test ... at the advanced age of 57! Currently waiting for my second attempt but it's not for ages unless I can find a cancellation. Would be great to be able to drive along to my wee craft group, walking group etc when the weather is too bad for cycling/walking without needing the husband to take me. ?

Oh no they are not, they are wonderful.?

NonnaW Wed 10-Feb-16 12:41:57

Like several others - sleep. Tried all the usual suggestions, nothing works.

Yes, I'm in the "wish I had the confidence to drive" group. I used to, when I was younger, but for various reasons I've lost all my confidence. Haven't driven for at least 15 years.

A consistently decent sleeping pattern and a better behaved digestive system would enrich my life no end!

I have a number of health problems, but this thread has made me think. I'm getting some physio for my tendonitis and I honestly think if that could be better it would make a big difference. I love walking and I haven't been able to walk much for nearly two years. I'm really going to work on getting it better.

Rhonab don't give up you can do it?

Maggiemaybe Fri 12-Feb-16 09:43:49

20:20 vision. Even better if I can have a refund on what not having it has cost me over the years - I'd be off round the world smile

BBbevan Fri 12-Feb-16 12:47:39

What sort of joints do you mean?

AlgeswifeVal Sat 13-Feb-16 22:46:05

To have a healthy husband and not to see him suffer then we both can have normal lives

Nana3 Sat 13-Feb-16 23:08:20

A full nights sleep for me too. Then perhaps I wouldn't hate myself for not wanting to get up in the morning.
flowers for everyone on here.

Bellanonna Sat 13-Feb-16 23:15:38

I so agree with you AlgeswifeVal. X

annsixty Sun 14-Feb-16 09:26:01

To Algieswife and Bellanonna my sympathy. I am there in a different way and how I envy friends and neighbours who are always out and about and holidaying. At this time in our lives we should be doing the same but circumstances say different. flowers

We had so many plans for our retirement. All gone but the wayside. I do envy friends that can lead normal lives with each other. I do go out but everything I do is on my own or with a friend but hardly ever do anything together.

So, yes, this is my wish....

I have been diagnosed with 8 herniated discs, yes 8!
Told Consultant I would like a new spine like a 28 year old, my hubby piped up, he would like me to have a 28 year olds body! Poor lamb, he wouldn't know what to do with it if I had ! Had nerve block, Heaven, no more pain

BBbevan Tue 16-Feb-16 09:34:11

My son's colonoscopy this morning to be O.K.

Maggiemaybe Tue 16-Feb-16 18:00:36

I hope it was, BBbevan.

Luckygirl Tue 16-Feb-16 18:28:23

To have all of my children live in the same country as me. And/or learn how to be an adult parent. I am not very good at it.
