I'm not really paranoid about not being responded to. Not sure though about the 'like' button. It could cause people to feel a bit inadequate. I'm used to Twitter but sometime if I make a 'witty' comment on there, I wonder why no one responds. Sad, aren't I? Must get a life, or grow a pair

Quite often I start reading a thread and some way into it get to a point I want to address, so I do that. Then I don't always read the rest of the thread.

I also agree with whoever (*jings*?) said that if the thread title is a question, then you can just jump in and answer the question without looking to see what other people have said. Others may have given the same answer in effect but I don't think that matters. It can be quite good to have a lot of people giving you the same answer.

Re getting all the posts on one page, I have a Show all messages option at the top of the thread. Click on that and 5 pages on this thread become one long one.

. I don't have that option. Not on my laptop, nor on the mobile site on my iPhone. I've even checked my iPad to see if for any strange reason that is different, but it's not. Where does it say that on yours Purpledaffodil?

It bugs me too when I've posted something and later someone else says virtually the same thing. And yes, it's even more irritating if they get a response and I didn't, especially if it's about a link we both posted. But this says more about me than anything else tbh and I just try to let it go.

However, I do agree with POGS about taking the time to read through post about more serious subjects. My reasons for doing this is to respect the other posters and not look stupid.

Re posting a reply after reading through several pages, what I do is type my reply in stages on a notepad app and then copy and paste it in the reply box. Easy peasy.

Well, glad to hear I'm not the only one who has felt "a bit miffed" at times, re repeat of something I had already posted and had been ignored on.

It's no great problem in the grand scheme of things, but some how comforting to know I'm not the only one feeling this way.

Oh I usually get ignored then further on someone else, better "known", says the same thing as I did, and gets praised. It happens! I get over it, and resist the temptation to say, Oi, I said that earlier. But a girl can get paranoid at times, especially when killing a thread as I often have done. Yes, that is what I've done thatbags, repeatedly. I select '1000', hit 'save options' and it immediately reverts to 100 in the selection field . I've been trying to do this for months and every time the same thing happens!

Yes still sunny in Suffolk - the snowdrops, primroses and daffs are all out! Hope the apple blossom, when it appears, doesn't get blasted by late cold spell, several years ago we lost nearly all apples.
