Good Morning New Years Eve

Good morning All,
Another year about to come to an end - what a quick year ! I like the thought of a New Year - it's like virgin snow, a new sheet of paper or fresh clean bedsheets. All pristine and new . I find it quite exciting !

Morning Mick and everyone. It's raining here in Cornwall (as usual). I will go out though as I have shopping to do ready for a special meal tomorrow for DH and me. I always like to do a nice meal on NY Day and apart from that, no housework! I won't go out tonight as I don't really like NY eve. DH dresses up in fancy dress (Victorian chimney sweep this year) and goes to the pub but I'm happy here with a bag of Twiglets and the last of the sloe gin.

Good morning from a dark North Leicestershire! It seems very quiet so I think the wind and rain must have stopped.

I'm going to visit Mum today and finishing putting the house to rights downstairs while my lovely cleaner tackles upstairs. Nice meal planned for tonight.

Needless to say it's wet here in Wiltshire but thankfully the wind has dropped.
Quiet day today, I might go into Bath with DH who wants to buy some new clothes (and gently steer him into the right shops!), otherwise I want to start my New Year resolution to crack crocheting - I'm planning on making a ripple blanket

Clear skies in North Norfolk at present and a gibbous (?) moon in the west. Still bloomin' windy though - and unseasonably chilly!

I've been lucky and enjoyed 2015 and will be sad to see it go. Silly isn't it!

The gales are now just winds, and last nights rain has stopped. We're very fortunate in Kent as that is the first experience we've had of the storms.
First physio session on a painful shoulder today.

Morning All. Clear sky for now in our corner of Somerset although the puddles indicate overnight heavy rain. Wind has dropped too, pleasant for now. Will be with family this evening and a get together with all DCs and their families tomorrow. Have been so lucky this Christmas and will have spent time with all those close to us. Will begin to tidy on January 2nd. Plan a major clear out. 2015 has gone so quickly. Many positives along with some major negatives. Life I guess!

Good morning, it is cool and dry and the wind has gone. been up since 6am so think I will make a shopping list and do the first food shop since the day before Christmas eve. Wishing all Gnetters a Happy and peaceful New Year.

Fairly bright in the Tyne Valley with a few spots of rain on the windscreen on the way back from work. I don't think there will be much rain. Going to DD's on Sunday, so must take down all decorations and tree today, so that's my job sorted.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. I'd say it was seasonably chilly for a change. The wind has died down but rain is forecast for later.
Food delivery due soon as I had planned ahead for mass family visit tomorrow. No idea what we will eat today though!

Good morning everyone. Dry, mild but very dull here on the North East coast. It was very windy yesterday so that's me on the beach later looking for treasure old bits of wood . Unfortunately (like Harrigran) we haven't done a food shop since before Christmas either, so will be heading out to the supermarket first. Oh I hate food shopping.

Good morning from NE Cheshire where it isn't raining at the moment, though it was earlier. I hope everyone has a convivial evening and wakes up to a bright New Year tomorrow.

Actually the sun has broken through here on the North East coast but brought the wind back with it. There's always some kind of trade off isn't there?
