Good morning Mick from an exceedingly windy Wiltshire, the wind is howling and I'm hoping that the greenhouse is still standing ?
Off to see my parents this morning then back to housework and getting the house straight.

Good morning from a dry, dark, windy Colchester. 12c and no rain due until 3pm.
We are so lucky with the weather in this part of the country and are thinking of all those who are not so fortunate.
Venturing to supermarket for first time in a week to stock up on basics. Otherwise no firm plans as DH is working.

Morning All.

Dark and overcast here with gusts starting to come through. I do hope it's not going to get too bad Up North yet again. Enough is enough.

We're hoping men will turn up and finish filling the hole in the road before the rain comes in. There's four way traffic lights outside and an incriminating ditch from the hole across the footpath and under our wall. Passers by keep peering into the hole and looking accusingly at the house as they have to walk around in the road! It wasn't our fault! Honest! (Our lights went out Christmas evening due to a cable breakdown in our garden)

We're avoiding being home and off to order new sofas for the snug/sitting room after spending yesterday evening with bits of paper and a plan working out how to make them fit.

Have a lovely day Everyone.

Good morning all from a wet and wild Torquay. It it blowing a gale - a real "it's a twister Auntie Em!" It is (our) my first "free" day of the holidays and I'm not going to waste it! I plan an indulgent day listening to Radio 4 and armed with pots of tea will immerse myself in therapeutic (well it is for me!) Sewing - planning a quilt. Bliss. Will fit in a bracing walk on the prom later - despite the high winds. What will GN's be doing now that the festivities are almost over?

Morning All. Very windy in our corner of Somerset, rain just starting. Our first quiet day. Had planned a supermarket top up. May leave that until tomorrow! Stay safe everyone. It's dangerous for many.

Morning all! It's windy here in North Leicestershire with scudding clouds.

The last of the visitors are leaving after lunch (phew) so we will just have time for trip to the library before they go.

Enjoy your Wednesdays!

Good morning from Cheshire. It's very windy here in Cheshire but no rain yet. From what I heard of the weather forecast it sounds as though heavy rain is moving up across the country.

Batten down the hatches I hope there is not too much more flooding.

Good morning to you all, a not too bad morning here on the south coast at the moment, hope it stays that way. We had a lovely day yesterday, but seem to feel guilty and helpless about the poor folk who are flooded. Not a lot planned as we played bowls indoors yesterday after too long away from the game, and are feeling the effects on the old bones. Enjoy your days.

Wild and windy here in Oxfordshire, no rain as yet, but hate the noise of the howling gale around the house, and all the trees are swaying madly which is always a worry, as they are very big trees.Family get together for a late lunch here today.

Good morning, wild and windy here. There is something under the tiles blowing raspberries with each gust, DH says it is the roofing felt but I prefer GD's explanation of a giant crouching on the roof.
Yesterday's appointment with surgeon turned into a three hour marathon but I now know that in three weeks I will probably have my operation.
