Yes, I had a wander round the shops in Chester yesterday. I bought some half price bargains and am pleased with them. Today I am going to Liverpool with one of my daughters for another go at the sales. We are going to try out a Lebanese restaurant for lunch. This could curtail the shopping a bit!

A White Stuff dress on line as I had a voucher to use but no I don't like crowds so no shopping for me off to golf today.

No. I just don't get it, I'm shopped out, having had my life dominated by shopping for gifts then food for the Christmas period. I enjoy the busy build up to Christmas and choose gifts with care. It's great to have the house full of family and friends but come boxing day, it's the big walk, the huge over indulgence of all that lovely food in the fridge and relaxing.
We did go into Manchester yesterday to an exhibition but the idea of going into shops had no appeal whatsoever.
I'm sure these comments won't put a downer on those who are still enthusiastically buying stuff.

Yes, again on line. Ordered a Morphy Richard Soupmaker that was half-price and bought a Juice Box Bluetooth speaker in Sainsburys yesterday, at almost half price.

Bought some half price gift sets in Boots ( other shops are open).? Great for standby presents and stocking the bathroom cupboard. Also bought some dresses online on Christmas Eve in a 'Boxing Day' sale.

No, won't be doing any shopping for a while yet. This has been the most exhausting Christmas i can remember (i must be getting old!) and all i want to do is chill! I might feel differently by the weekend!

Am going to drag grandsons into town today, luring them with the promise of lunch at Five Guys who do the most delicious fries imaginable. Will not buy anything though.

I have done some food shopping as we are having the family for New Year's Day dinner. I bought a couple of wee items for my grandchild. As for full scale shopping , no. I cannot stand the crowds,will wait till it quietens down and then spend any Christmas vouchers I have.

I suffer from acute anxiety and the business gets too much for me at times.

Bought new laptop today. Not many left in stock in pc world or curry. My Hudl is on its way out so it was sort of "essential"!

No, I have no intention of going to the sales. I might stock up on wrapping paper if I go to the supermarket but that's all.

I just wanted some time now where I can turn my phone off and be free. I managed for most of my life without being tied 24/7 to a phone line and I do think it is important to give the old grey cells a rest from being contactable all the time. Re: other thread about friends calling every night. Turn the phone off, put the boots on and go out and well, I just about manage to get to a small park, sit on a bench and have a breather. Bliss.

Not me, but I did take my DD out this afternoon to get a hand blender, just a short drive to a retail park and then back home again. I have such painful feet that I cannot go out strolling around the shops these days. It's all I can do to get round Sainsbury's to do a weekly shop. I'm now sitting with my feet up and they are throbbing, a reaction to all the time I've spent on them over the last few days, in the kitchen mostly. I'm just not used to it, so I shall need a day or two to recover

No shopping, I feel overshopped.
But I did get my Christmas cards at 75% off on Christmas eve.

I need to buy a new microwave as the current one started sparking over Christmas where the plastic coating inside the oven had come off revealing the metal beneath it.

We had intended to buy some carpet for our house in France, but as I slipped on a wet floor just before Christmas and hurt my back and DH has developed tendonitis in his left wrist that purchase has been delayed until we are both fit enough to handle large pieces of carpet in and out of the car and up a staircase.

I bought my Christmas present to me on line and it was a black leather handbag. There was 20% discount on shoes (and bag), I could not leave the shoes behind.

I really splashed out today and paid £1 for 2 combs. I was on the lookout for cheap Christmas cards but only crackers appeared to be on sale.

Depending on the weather I may go out again tomorrow.

In additional to a very lovely scarf my daughter gave me a voucher for a shop that I really like (although there isn't one locally) and I was able to convert it to an e-voucher and shop online; one new skirt and a pair of matching tights are now on their way.

I was given a Christmas cheque from my lovely in-laws so I shopped locally today and bought a new wicker storage rack that I almost got before Christmas, but couldn't quite afford then - happily there was £20 off in the sale. I bought Christmas crackers and a couple of gifts for next year at less than half price - and had them deliverd for free from my local department store. Online I bought a couple of leather Pandora bracelets in the sale; one each for son's girlfriend's 21st birthday and my granddaughter's 18th.

Yippee! I just found the storage rack photo online and am thrilled that I paid less than half the £125 being asked by Notonthehighstreet.com. Rather ironic as I did buy it on my local High Street AND got free delivery. It just shows that shopping locally really can be cost effective.

Today I spent the National Trust digital voucher sent to me by DS1 (in USA). I got a very nice picnic rug, some gardening gloves and some Christmas decorations, which were in their sale.
