Good morning from a damp, cloudy Colchester. 16c promised so Christmas Jumper is still in cupboard.
Off to DD's in laws today for family day. Usually great fun with too much food and drink! DGS2 has just taken his first steps so even more fun!

Good morning Everyone ,
A dark and windy one here in St.Andrews.
I had the most beautiful day yesterday , I'd actually been dreading it and had wanted to avoid all festive celebrations . We've had a difficult family year and all the problems had drifting together like a snowdrift at my door - too big to get over or around . However I took a leap for the grandchildren's sake , arrived at the destination and had a lovely healing time with the family . Happy Happy Christmas miracles to all - they do happen !

That's a cheerful morning greeting tiredoldwoman and something positive to help us all start out day. It's dire here in the north west, it was pouring down when I woke at 3am and the rain was still almost a deluge when I made a cup of tea ten minutes ago. The ground is so wet, there is no where for the rain to go so the roads are full of standing rain in parts. I'm counting my blessings that we're south of Cumbria where the army arrived yesterday to help prepare for more floods.
I'll be out with the dogs in half an hour, they need a run whatever the weather and I have good waterproofs smile

Good morning to you all from a brightish south coast. How awful for you Iam the rain has been so relentless for you people, everyone must feel really low at the moment.
Boxing day is family day for us, usually I go overboard with the food, and decided to cut back this year, now I am wondering if I have enough! No one will starve, so I have decided not to worry. Enjoy your days.

Morning everyone,
Hope you all had / are having a lovely Christmas. At home today with DD and her little family after all being at DS's house - I was cooking dinner there so it was a mammoth task of transporting all the food, some of it pre-prepared or part cooked and frozen, also serving dishes and cooking trays and dishes as wasn't sure what he had in that department following his marriage breakup. The dinner and the whole day was a complete success! The children were all so wonderful, no tantrums or getting over tired.
Now for a lovely relaxing Boxing Day tchsmile

Good morning everyone. The sun is out here in South Yorkshire. No-one is in any hurry to get up this morning, even DGS! I had forgotten what a long day Christmas Day is for parents of young children, who are up before it gets light! No wonder they were all flagging about nine o'clock! We had a lovely day, though. DS and co will be arriving this afternoon, so we start all over again! Happy Boxing Day,folks!

I live in Cumbria and so far the rain that was due to start yesterday lunchtime has really only been drizzle. Hoping it will stay that way with no more floods.

Good morning everyone.
It's raining in the Tyne Valley. I was awake several times during the night (hot flushes), and heard the rain on the windows! DS and I are going to my sister's house at lunchtime for our family Boxing Day gathering. There won't be so many of us this year as some have to work, including my DH. We plan to have a good time nonetheless.
Have a lovely Boxing Day everyone.

Good morning, it is dreary here too. Driving home last night was horrible, cloud down to the ground and torrential rain which caused deep lakes across the country roads. The restaurant, where we had lunch, developed a leak at the end of the meal and water was running through the ceiling in several places. Staff had to unplug Christmas lights and move furniture, thankfully everyone had completed their meal. Quiet day today, probably catch up on TV from yesterday.
