Do you call your OH "dad"?

Oh maggie you've brought a tear to my eye.
I've got a lovely photo of my Dad, in RAF uniform, sent to Mum during the war, before they were married.
It's inscribed 'Hello Buggerlugs xx'

Not even all the DC call him dad. For some reason DS used our first names from an early age, and this has been handed on to his DC. So we're now the full Nana Maggie and Grandad ---- to them, which seems somehow more formal.

I do call him Buggerlugs a lot. Also a Northern one, I think?!

Well on a public forum and in difficult times I can't say what I occasionally call him under my breath but Dad, never.

That's cards to my children and their respective spouses. Too early yet!!

Problem I find is how do you sign joint cards to SIL//DIL? Mum & Dad or name and name....or both?

I call him all sorts of things but not Dad, that is my Father. DH and DS, who is still at home, have the same name so even that is sometimes confusing. I do call him Grandad when he is forgetful or complaining! We are called whatever suits the situation.

To me that is an old fashioned Northern thing.
Obviously I talk about "Your dad" to DC but it's X or darling when speaking to him. Or "grumpyguts" under my breath sometimes

Not in conversation with him. I'd be cross if he didn't use my name when he spoke to me. Sometimes we feel like we're parenting each other though!

Only call him Dad if speaking to the DDs. My husband always called my mother Grandma, once she became one.

Only very occasionally as a joke. It would be obvious to all that it is a joke.

I call my husband 'dad' or 'pa' when referring to him to the dc or svc but I call him by his first name - he isn't my father!
