Today I planned to put up the tree and decs. I have cleaned and polished the lounge in preparation then sat down for a bite of lunch and now I feel like I just can't be a**ed I have zero Christmas spirit.
If it wasn't for the fact DC's will be here one day before Christmas I'd say s*d it sad

sue01 what a rotten time you've had. Hope the treatment (surgery?) works wonders and that your back will soon be in good shape. Maybe by Christmas Day you will be able to enjoy a bit of festive cheer. Good luck. tchsmile flowers

Hardly anything done here as we still have a builder coming and going. He is working upstairs though so I could do something. Cards are almost all done. I have been really busy with the Christmas tree festival but now that is done I can think about our Christmas.

Enjoying reading these comments...! Cheered me up after a somewhat mournful morning thinking about Christmas's past.... We love Christmas but am finding it more stressful as the years go by. Fortunately husband cheers me on - he's up the ladder at the beginning of December to usually start up the street lights competition and raise the national grid. Inside house the same! Tree up and lit etc etc. I failed on the cards which had been bought in plenty of time, worked to duplicated lists which was ridiculous - must do better next year - and then couldn't find my Christmas stamps! I think this is what finally stressed me out. Thank goodness for this site which always cheers me up and makes me realise I'm not the only one going a bit doolally! I shall now start to enjoy and count myself lucky! Merry Christmas fellow gransnetters!

slightly more enthusiastic this morning... well hoovering and polishing will be done at least in the lounge, with mandatory GN breaks and tea....aches and pains of virus now receding and sore throat more comfortable....highlights being done this afternoon..and tommorrow is another day.
