So come on then, tell me how you're coping with the shopping, wrapping, planning, writing, posting, cooking, cleaning, etc. etc.

Despite my Bah humbuggishness, I AM doing Christmas. So I am also doing the shopping, wrapping, planning etc. And it's going well, surprisingly. I'm only three Christmas cards and three gifts short of ticking those jobs off the list. I noticed that there aren't many Christmas trees left at Waitrose this morning but I'm refusing to give into festive panic and WILL NOT rush out to buy a tree or dig out the decorations until the weekend (that's what it says on the plan). And my usual food and drink shopping frenzy hasn't even begun yet and I'm amazingly calm...

Our Church Christmas tree festival is now all in place ready for public viewing over the next three days. There are thirty one trees all very different. Some are real, some artificial, there's one made of twigs, a couple of white ones, some small and some large, from tall and lanky to small and neat, even a pink one. It has been hard work, preparing for it but hopefully people will come and enjoy seeing them.

Ruby that sounds so beautiful. I wish I lived near you to be able to see it.

We went to see Father Christmas today in a magical place and he was lovely. Very kind to the children and got down from his chair to have his photo taken with us all.
We were very pleased, especially as he must be so busy. He said he would be resting with his feet up on Christmas Day and Boxing Day tchsmile

Good for him, he deserves it after his hard work. Oh how I miss the magic of taking children to see Father Christmas, with them clinging so tightly to your hand in excitement ( and a little fear ) that you think you will emerge with broken fingers. My youngest are only 6 & 4 but that isn't going to happen this year.

Going well. Dosh handed over to sons, present ( singular) bought for pal, flights and accommodation booked, just to print off confirmations.

The only thing I have done since I posted on Tuesday is that I have written (most) of the cards. Been too busy being out and about. tchsmile
