DS2 & DGF have one, no wires. They just seem to point the phone at it and it plays.
Whatever next!

Thanks. I've got docks the phone/ipod kind of sits on, but I'm thinking more about the speakers that don't have any wires. I'll have a look at that article, though, and get myself to John Lewis.

Sounds as if you need some sort of speaker dock where you just plug your phone in and that's it. DH has an assortment of these (conservatory, sitting room, workshop, office!!) You can get little ones for sub £20-but sound isn't great-up to expensive brands like Bose. Sure JL will keep you right.

There's no need to be embarrassed, g. It's no different from consulting an architect because you don't know how to design your own house extension.

I haven't a clue either. I would just go along to John Lewis and ask the nice young person in charge of the small electricals what they can suggest.

You might want to do a bit of background reading first. I googled 'how to bluetooth music from phone' and got this

Hope that helps smile

I've been thinking about getting myself a nice speaker for Christmas on which to play my rather eclectic music collection BUT I haven't a clue how to get the music from my phone (or any other device) to a speaker wirelessly.

I'm too embarrassed about my dimness to ask in real life. Any ideas, wise gransnetters?
