idly wondering what everyone else is eating. We are spag bol (from the freezer) and salad and then an apple crumble I found - at least I think it's an apple crumble...forgot to label it and have been caught out before

Thankyou Gulligranny and Worlass another sufferer here.I am going for my eye injection this evening so will console myself, while waiting for that needle to go in, that at least I have a glass of red to look forward to when I get home.

Parsleywin Mon 19-Oct-15 15:18:30

Oh, jinglbellsfrocks, have you remembered how the method? I have a large half swede reclining in the bottom of the fridge which I ought to use, or lose!

Greyduster Mon 19-Oct-15 15:06:57

Chicken salad. It might have been grilled Ladybower rainbow trout but the b****r got away! smile

Worlass Mon 19-Oct-15 15:03:02

Gulligranny, didn't know that red wine (or indeed any species of wine) was good for helping to combat progress of macular degeneration. Sadly, I suffer from this wretched affliction, but really dislike red wine. Has anyone been advised to eat chocolate to help slow down degeneration? Lol. Going to have liver and onions with tasty, thick gravy, carrots, button sprouts (frozen) and boiled potatoes for tea. No 'afters', but a giant mug of coffee to finish.

Cold meat from yesterday's roast and salad, stewed apple and custard.

ninathenana Mon 19-Oct-15 14:54:23

Battered cod and oven chips all from the freezer shock

gulligranny Mon 19-Oct-15 14:50:29

We're having what we call mish-mash tonight; I've got some left-over bacon, boiled potatoes, a few mushrooms, half an onion so I'll make a frittata with it all and we'll have that with salad. And a nice glass of red wine, which is of course purely medicinal as DH has been told it'll help keep his macular degeneration from degenerating too quickly .....

As I'm baby sitting all day it will be awaitrope pork joint, frozen creamed cabbages and new potatues roasted with sage and garlic!

Lynnekovan1969 Mon 19-Oct-15 14:30:58

A bowl of homemade granola, yoghurt and fruit, my default when I'm too tired to cook.

entropy Mon 19-Oct-15 13:59:51

bangers and mash with onion gravy you could lay bricks with

rosequartz Mon 19-Oct-15 13:56:40

carbqueen I took out some leek and potato soup from the freezer for lunch one day, but it turned out to be a box of stewed apple!
The labels fall off.

Nonnie Mon 19-Oct-15 13:52:25

No idea, I just come to the table when DH calls me.

EastEndGranny Mon 19-Oct-15 12:54:16

Monday now, and ball room dancing tonight, so fish - it's fairly light. Salmon with leeks and brocolli and probably some mash.

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 19-Oct-15 12:50:34

JMill are you in a hot country. Or are you all hardy?

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 19-Oct-15 12:49:13

Whatever we have, it will include swede. Cooked by the microwave method posted somewhere on GN yesterday.

JMill Mon 19-Oct-15 12:42:48

Out of doors eating - at the fire pit table - goulash, baked potatoes, birthday cake and a huge steamed treacle sponge. (Latter two cooked indoors!) This feast followed a crazy afternoon of daughters & their families building a raft and trying it out on a local pond. Nobody drowned but some got rather wet!

Luckygirl Sun 18-Oct-15 22:18:07

Tuna steak with salad.

rubysong Sun 18-Oct-15 22:13:52

... For afters, not for actress!

rubysong Sun 18-Oct-15 22:12:59

Roast lamb(with mint sauce), roast potatoes, roast home grown parsnips, carot & swede mash, also a few Yorkshire puddings I had in the freezer (home made). For actress, pineapple upside down pudding with clotted cream. We were joined by DS2 & DGF (& dear granddog), otherwise dinner would have been more modest.

hildajenniJ Sun 18-Oct-15 21:44:55

Pork and pineapple curry, rice and poppadoms? sp. For pudding we had apple crumble and cream. The curry was the first I ever made when my DC were young, and my DD remembers it fondly.

Auntieflo Sun 18-Oct-15 18:59:19

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, honey and mustard roasted parsnips and carrots, spiced sweet potato wedges, sausages, stuffing and gravy. Apple crumble and ice cream to follow. Usually eat in the evening, but DD and SIL to lunch today. Both stuffed now, so nothing this evening, except maybe a cup of coffee later on.

And only Birdseye Aurelia, so old Clarence has had a few bob out of us! Today, dinner (at 3pm) was roast turkey, roast and mashed tates, carrots and Brussel sprouts, with Bisto gravy, and to drink, Stella pear cider. Tea will bejust coffee and cakes.

Aurelia Sun 18-Oct-15 15:54:10

Beef casserole here with boulangere potatoes.

numberplease That's about 21700 fish fingers! There has got to be a world record for you there.

kittylester Sun 18-Oct-15 15:25:27

No Ann you're not. It seems strange to me.

annsixty Sun 18-Oct-15 15:01:25

Am I the only one who only ever eats Yorkshire pudding ( always home made) with beef, never any other meat?
