1) ... Cold call phone calls such as the PPI, house insulation, please do a survey and your computer has got a virus type calls as well as those asking for charitable contributions and initially take no for an answer by trying to make you feel guilty. AND, what's really infuriates me are those that don't introduce themselves and those that slam the phone down as soon asthey realise i'm not interester without any sort of apology for disturbing my peace. Grrrrrrrrr.

2) ... Being ripped off by the building trade (was ripped off by over £45 000 + nearly £20 000 so far to put things right with a lot still to do - legal battle ensuing, but the builder is crafty so doubt will get return despite contracts and loads of evidence. Solicitor has said, even if we win, we'd only recover 70% of the loss, assuming the builder has the ability to pay - Sheriffs here we come)

3) ... Reality and cooking programs on TV as well as sex on demand channels in my TV package - we have young teenagers in the house.

3 things which annoy me most (hate is a bit strong") are :

Drivers who lane-wander, particularly at roundabouts
Phoning a company & having 6 options, followed by 6 more and then another 6...........
Noise, specifically music blaring from next door's builders. I want to be in my garden and hear the birds not effing and blinding to the background of rock music angry

.......can we have another 3?

Drummerman Fri 16-Oct-15 09:10:01

I agree about not 'hating' things (or people)

With things it is a matter of extreme irritation, with people annoyance and, very rarely, dislike.

Dog poo on the DGC's play park
The people who allow their dogs to go on the children's play park
Cleaning dog poo off shoes

RosElghaly55 Fri 16-Oct-15 09:13:26

1.Noisy neighbours
2.Litter bugs
3. When you hold a door open & the person behind saunters through without even acknowledging you !!

whiterabbit01 Fri 16-Oct-15 09:15:27

I agree with Marmark1's extra hates - all of them, especially pseudo celebrities. smile

Lona Fri 16-Oct-15 09:15:47

Second lot.

Drivers who go round bends in the middle of the road as though they own it! Dangerous!
Gardeners who blow all the leaves into the road! Dangerous!
Drivers who park on the pavement so that I have to walk in the road. Dangerous!

LullyDully Fri 16-Oct-15 09:33:52

Wow not much left. So all of the above.

I have a dog phobic GD so don't appreciate the people with huge dogs with huge teeth who insist she strokes the lovable old thing, who loves children, whilst she screams. Don't like them much.

Anniebach Fri 16-Oct-15 09:52:06

I am irritated by

Being called a bleeding heart whatever, because I care

Sunday Christians

A company who keep ringing me telling me I have been in a car accident in the last two years - I haven't had a car for five years and did have one mishap in 1980

People who mock the less educated,

My council

11+

British class divide

My mother in law

Nelliemoser Fri 16-Oct-15 10:03:04

1. Litter and fly tipping.

2. Drivers who drive too close behind.

3. Arrogant gits who behave as if they own the world.

nannypink1 Fri 16-Oct-15 10:19:59

People who don't acknowledge you when you stop yr car to let them through. Rude

The f word specially round children

Self service checkouts

TerriBull Fri 16-Oct-15 10:27:59

People who are so engaged with their phone they are oblivious to whoever they are with, particularly their children. I remember being in the tropical fish department in a garden centre when a little boy was trying to engage his mum saying "mummy look at this fish" over and over. The mother in question just didn't look up from her phone and her child was becoming increasingly frustrated, it made me sad for him that she wouldn't share his fascination.

People who have loud conversations in public littered with really bad language and are overly loud.

People who ill treat their children and their animals.

mumofmadboys Fri 16-Oct-15 10:57:16

Who is The idiot, Kitty?

Nanalogue Fri 16-Oct-15 11:00:28

Dishonesty
Injustice
Cruelty, especially to children

Not lighthearted, sorry, but heartfelt.

Nelliemoser Fri 16-Oct-15 11:28:27

mumofmadboys It's a long running story of a very "difficult" relative of Kitty's.

Nurses travelling in their uniform

Bad Manners

Any kind of prejudice

oldie730 Fri 16-Oct-15 11:57:44

Agree with almost 100% of gripes posted.

Can't think of anything else, will probably get inspiration when this has been posted.

Ahh! Hate it when I can't remember things!

LullyDully Fri 16-Oct-15 13:05:37

Not sure about nurses who travel in uniform?????????

Riverwalk Fri 16-Oct-15 13:23:02

aromart I rarely, if ever, see nurses travelling in uniform - what I do see out and about in the streets of London and on public transport are agency carers who are making their flying visits to their patients.

There are also district nurses but very few of them are in uniform nowadays.

I'm interested in where you see nurses travelling in uniform.

BRedhead59 Fri 16-Oct-15 13:24:20

1.People who pick up dog poo and then leave the plastic bag in the hedge
2.People who don't pick up dog poo
3.Unsolicited phone calls, post and emails.

brunswick Fri 16-Oct-15 14:09:34

Agree with you about Strictly Rosequaartz, I love the programme, but all the screaming and constant clapping throughout drives me mad. The clapping even drowns out some of the singer/celebs sometimes. bad service anywhere. standing on ceremony. pretentiousness.

SusanCh Fri 16-Oct-15 14:50:34

1. People who get of the escalator and stop dead, trying to decide which way to go. Shift!
2. People who talk on the phone whilst being served in a shop. So rude.
3. Bad language, especially when there are children are around.
