It's worth complaining

In tesco, the assistants collect items from the shelves for customers who submit lists to tesco, then the shopping is delivered to their homes. They have big trolleys which take up a lot of spaces, making shopping difficult for us who prefer to do our own.
Consequently, I now shop in a different supermarket.

What's a 'home shopping trolley' winifred?

I have stopped shopping at tesco because the home shopping trolleys making it very difficult to negotiate the aisles.

Complaining via a Facebook page is very effective, but make it polite with lots of detail. Companies are desperate not to have their shortcomings out there in public without offering a respectful solution. Usually they apologise and ask you to send them your phone number so they can follow up with you personally.

I always buy my special contact lens solution from Specsavers - their own brand. The assistant couldn'[t find any in the shop and went out the back and gave me a free-trial-pack. She said they'd be ordering more in. Unfortunately I used it and had an extremely bad reaction, sore and swollen. I phoned up and asked to have an appointment with the optometrist and it was then that I noticed the use-by date was 2013. I took it along and explained the situation - the optometrist agreed that was the cause. He then ordered a new set of contact lenses and a new bottle of the solution direct from Bausch & Lomb. Anyway, long story short I thought it really wasn't the assistant's intention to cause me harm, and I got the outcome I needed without asking. There was no apology. It would have been nice, especially as I missed out on so many things I'd planned to do for 2 weeks while they were sore.

It's the £7 for three items or 3 for £10 or 4 for £10 in M&S which is confusing the computers at the moment. We've now complained and taken back three times. It's getting annoying I think I will have to point the items out to the cashier in future. I wonder how many people don't check up.

We were out when I had a text message from a delivery company telling me a delivery would be made between 16.49 and 17.49 . So we made our way home, getting there at 16.25 and there, in our porch, was the parcel. Just after we got in, I had a second text message from the delivery company, telling me that as there was no reply, the driver had left my parcel "in a secure place".
Our house is almost on the road, with a minimal frontage. The porch actually bridges the gap between the house and the pavement, and it has no door, so opens right onto the pavement of a busy main road, with a good deal of pedestrian traffic. This was most definitely not a secure place!
I complained to the delivery firm and got a good response, telling me that in no way are their drivers supposed to leave goods unsecured like this, so there would be an investigation.
I also contacted M&S, saying I didn't hold them responsible, just thought they would want to know. They sent me a £5 gift voucher by way of apology.
Many years ago I complained about the quality of a yoghurt. A couple of days later there was a knock at the door and there was someone with a tray of 12 yoghurts for me. Two or three days later, another knock, and another tray of 12 yoghurts - this time from the parent company of the original brand! Very happy

I complained by phone to Asda recently when one checkout was open and 3 assistants stood by the self checkouts to help people with them. i didn't get a good feedback so I just don't shop there anymore.It makes no difference to them but I feel better.

I hate doing my own supermarket shopping so having to do it for others would be my idea of hell.

I've just been on the phone to Argos over a failed delivery. Apparently the van driver couldn't find us so he cancelled the order. I didn't know they were allowed to do that seeing as it's paid for but it seems they can if they think it's a false address.

False???? We've lived here for twenty five years!

What a ghastly job! I had assumed that the online orders were processed overnight rather than during the busy shopping time.

Home shoppers have to keep up a pick rate of X items per hour.

Their trolleys are a flippin nuisance.

It makes me feel better to talk to a supervisor rather than going away and chuntering.

Yesterday in Asda there was a mad, mad rush to complete the online shopping. The shop was full of staff pushing and shoving collecting shopping for others in the shortest time. I wondered if last one finished had to buy the buns for elevenses.

Moaned politely and felt better somehow.
