Alea do hope your DH is ok. Sounds as though he is in good hands. Good that he is having an MRI. My DH had what we thought was a TIA over 5 years ago but turned out to be a series of strokes and severe blockage in the neck. Operated on and dealt with by the NHS at exceptional speed for which we are eternally grateful. Hope your DH gets the same good treatment. Wishing you both well ((huggs))

soop if I could paint anything that even remotely resembled a dog I would be more than happy let alone paint one like yours which looks exactly like the one in the photo to me. I think your friend and his wife would be well pleased with that.

Happynan I think your dog woul be a welcome addition to the kitchen (if Rory doesn't mind) because then, when I nod off in the corner after a or two I could pretend the snoring wasn't me!

Been weeding and hacking at ferns. Needed a sugar rush. I didn't think even a chocolate digestive biscuit would do the business. Then I remembered a packet of fruit pastilles I'd hidden. Phew. I've tipped the remaining ones into a tub. Please scoff them before I do.

HappyNan1 Emma has herself a wonderful owner. When I've finished other paintings that I need to complete, I would be very happy to paint a wee portrait of her for you (a gift).

Crafting I spent some time sketching a different portrait of the black Labrador. I feel that I'm on to a "winner". Cannot put into words why the first attempt failed to move me. I shall endeavour to do better from hereon. When I've finished, I shall share with you lot and hope for a thumbs-up.

I am aware that I am a cynical old bag but I noticed on another thread that ??150 is being given away to charity to someone who fills in a survey for the Care Quality Commission. Because the money is not going into somebody's purse, only 9 people have filled it in as opposed to the 300+ names we normally see.

Charleygirl Deep breath and feet up. I shall make you a nice cup of tea...I may find an overlooked though I doubt it, as our Crafting has been into the kitchen recently.

The portrait is beginning to progress very much more to my liking. Although I have a towering mountain of stuff to iron...tough! It can wait for another day.

I filled it in Charley but didn't post - hope that doesn't mean I don't qualify. My charity is Headway.

Anyway, can't stop as I'm on school run duty in Derby. I'm very confused because: a - Wednesday is my usual day and, b - it's not raining.

kitty and ann I knew that some would fill in and not post but I doubt if well over 300 omitted to do it! I agree, more chance of us lot winning for our respective charities. You will be amazed to discover that mine is the local Cat Protection League. The way my minx is behaving at present, acting like a teenager and coming home about 11pm, she may find herself looking for another house to take over. The money would be a sweetener because I doubt if they would want to take her back!

I cannot believe that the sun is shining in NW London. It will help to dry my hair which I have washed at an odd time.

ann I do hope that your eyes have settled down since the injection very late the other evening. I am assuming that like me both eyes are affected?

No Charleygirl at the moment it is only the left eye. It was not a nice experience this time and was painful until lunchtime the next day but it is fine now. I have the next one in 6 weeks and then will have the scan again to see what happens next. Both eyes must be awful and I feel for you.

Hi Charleygirl Emma is snuggled up with you behind the sofa, she's all warm, furry and very cuddly.

I also filled in the questionnaire but never thought to post that I had. Must dash and get tea for gc. Made a big creamy rice pudding so have left some in the kitchen, made with creamy Jersey milk.

I have filled in the questionnaire. Should I win, I shall give to the Kintyre Cat Protection League. They helped us trap Mother cat and her female daughters. All three were spayed and returned to the feral community. Thank you Charleygirl for bringing the questionnaire to my notice. I am stuck in the studio and haven't done much other than paint all day.
