Well, he's surpassed himself !!

Our postie is great. If he fails to deliver parcels etc. he comes back at the end of his round to see if anyone is in.
He is aware the you could be in the garden and not hear the bell.

Our post comes at different times every day depending on the roster and how much other work in the sorting office has to be done first. I'm just grateful it gets here at all. Posties go out in all weather and we get post every day except Sunday- that's fine - anything urgent comes by e-mail anyway.

It's a bit different from the old morning and afternoon post isn't it On the one hand they say 'snail mail' is being used less and less but I guess it's all the junk mail and parcels as others have said.
It's soothing to know it's not just my area.

Our post used to come by 09.30, now it is never before 13.00 and sometimes as late as 15.30. The postman had to change his route and we are towards the end of his round, instead of near the start.

I feel sorry for Posties. I see them dragging big trolly things about and they have to deliver all the junk mail now. My post used to arrive at about 10.30 now it's late afternoon.

They do annoy me when they won't leave parcels in my "safe place" and I have to walk to the Depot to collect it.

I thi k that posties are under lots of pressure! According to ours (who is brilliant) they keep having their systems changed. She now has to do parcels as well where previously larger parcels were delivered by a van and she had a bike. Now she does the lot but from the back of the van which obviously takes much longer. As a customer it's flipping frustrating!

No, probably completely pointless. If you were running a business, however, then I would certainly complain.
