A certain amount of cussedness went into the choice... Feetlebaum was a favourite comedy name of the US comic Doodles Weaver, a one-time ornament of the Spike Jones City Slickers. Another he liked was 'Pootwaddle'... Anyway, Spike's record of the William Tel Overture (Rossini) has Doodles commentaing on a horse race - lots of silly gags - "Grandmother nagging along in the read, Banana coming through the bunch" and so on... every verse ends with "And...... Feetlebaum...." (strangely although last throughout, Feetlebaum was the winner!) EVEYBODY ASSUMED THE NAME WAS BEETLEBOMB - which is why I used it - along with others I might add. There are those who know me as Scorpion de Rooftrouser, as well as Dirk van Dogstoerd!

. So I was wondering how they came about? Mine is because that is what my first grandson called me for ages before he could properly say 'Grandma'. I also like gammon but that's not the reason!
