I very deliberately said attractive rather than beautiful, I think there is a big difference, to me beauty conjures up perfection (most often found in the young) whereas attractive means the complexity that comes with age.

Defining beauty is something which has always been a problem. Hollywood had definite restrictions- Ingrid Bergman I believe was told she would need to have her nose changed and refused.
Attraction is equally difficult sometimes someone who seems unattractive at one age seems to "grow into" their looks- Harrison Ford is an example of this. Caught a glimpse of him in "Apocalypse Now" where he was highly forgetable.

Just thought of a woman who seems to have become more attractive as she has grown older-Judy Dench-not beautiful, quite pretty when she was younger, but stunning now.
