AshTree Sounds a good idea to me as new people joining, who only read the OP and not the modifications made later, aren't au fait with the way the rules have evolved as the thread has gone on and understandably must find it rather confusing! Are you volunteering...

For what my opinion is worth, I think it might be an idea to abandon this and start a new thread with the new rules clearly laid out at the top for easier reference. And I think it needs to be clear what the maximum number of allowed changes is, otherwise people might be changing six letters in a seven letter word

Passata Yes, the rules were changed because it would have been impossible. Now it is and/or add one, subtract one, change one, change the order (and often it is more than one letter change) It would only have lasted a day or so otherwise.

Sorry have not been back - had quite a lot on. You seem to be managing very well without me.

You're right, I've just looked back to where it was agreed the order could be shuffled, and more than one letter subtracted etc. I just find it confusing when that happens and feel compelled to check!

Would be virtually impossible I think, loopy... proved very tricky at the start of the game before it was abandoned!

I'm not sure how you can continue if the letter order isn't changed......

Ana I'm not really sure what the up to date 'rules' are either I just try to add a letter or subtract a letter or change a letter as suggested at the start, but somewhere along the way I think OP said that we could do two of these if we were struggling...
