Family name in use for 150 years

My Great-gran was born in 1855. My mum, my nan and her all share a first name. In addition some of my uncles married women with the same first name.

So there began a tradition of naming the girls in the family with the name or a version of it, either as a first name or second name. We are a big family, spread around the world.

I have a new granddaughter due this year I was so pleased that this baby is going to have the name also.

Has this happened in any other GN families.

My grandmother was born in 1897 and as a lot of previous relatives were called Isabella it must have been popular for many years.It is now having a comeback along with the shortened form of Bella.
My grandma and all the Auntie Bellas I had were all strong willed women whom nobody argued with so there was also a family trait there as well!
