To answer your question though, I fear we may have another washout summer, or possibly a drought. Planes will go up and leaves will fall, the latter in the Autumn. Christmas will be on the 25th of December and it probably won't be a White one,not around here anyway.
The same things will happen in 2016 and, indeed for the foreseeable future.
All I fear is than Gransnet will become Votersnet in which case I will have to content myself with Cookie Crunch and Facebook.

Im staying out of this one as I bought my council house, I am not eligible for any state benefits and nothing the conservatives may do will bother me but someone has told me that they are bringing back fox hunting, I know the country folk will relish this as it ahs been a way of life for hundreds of years but I feel sorry for the gorgeous foxes that I see in the country.

I have the same fears as you Leticia and would add:

Further cuts in grants to local authorities which will, in turn, affect local governments' ability to provide services such as Meals on Wheels, day centres for the elderly and disabled, leisure facilities, libraries and funding for community groups, etc. etc.

The closure of hundreds more Sure Start Centres.

Months and months spent on the EU In/Out referendum campaign - culminating in a vote to stay in after the "heavies" - multinationals and big business - are called in to frighten everyone.

Scrapping of the Human Rights Act

Opening of hundreds more "free" schools and a consequent increase in faith schools.

More unqualified teachers being used to take classes

More people on low incomes being forced to move out of cities and into areas such as depressed coastal towns.

Possibly: increases in prescription charges

... and who knows what else they have in store ..

There are lots of other threads for those who are bored with politics. If none of the other threads are to your liking, start one yourself instead of reading and contributing to a thread that you say doesn't interest you.

Some of the threads on Gransnet are of no interest to me, so I don't bother with them - it's really very simple.

Clearly this evening a group of silly little girls GNers decided they had had enough of the politics threads and that it would be fun to try and derail them.
