I think I'll travel down with rubysong on the magic rug and travel back with biker. The sound of the whoopee cushion and the bike engine will disguise any flatulence sounds I make cos of the twiglets and mead. grin

annodomini Sun 03-May-15 10:31:23

There's a spare seat on my broomstick. If wearing a flowing dress you will have to ride sidesaddle.

bikergran Sun 03-May-15 10:31:28

Oh that's good Falcon there will be more room on the return journey we will have got consumed most of the alcohol supplies wink

bikergran Sun 03-May-15 10:34:52

I have been up crocheting most of the night, I managed to do 5 thongs for those who insist on wearing them tut! It will be a little chilly in Tintergel and I was worried you would catch your chill in the flimsy things from down the market, I have made them with 2 ply chunky, although it's a bit rough round the nether regions! but what the heck, a bit of rough now n then grin I'm sure you will cope wink

nannieroz111 Sun 03-May-15 11:09:12

oh biker!!!!! grin

Thistledoo Sun 03-May-15 11:57:00

It seems as though I've started a thong thing. How will we know who is wearing a thong. OMG a crocheted thong, wonder how the kilted hunks will like that. Did you make them in baby soft wool or that cheap stuff from the Pound shop.shock

Gagagran Sun 03-May-15 12:20:48

Managed to free the "Lady of Shalott" from the reed beds but it's very leaky and a bit slow. Might have to transfer to a broomstick. Do they sell them at the Pound shop does anyone know?

whitewave Sun 03-May-15 12:33:11

Wouldn't fancy a pound shop broomstick, might not be up to the job.

nannieroz111 Sun 03-May-15 12:35:36

I've got plenty spare seats on my broomstick gagagran. Its a 7 seater people carrier. Just flag me down....... I'll be the one in baby pink with the big pink hand strapped to my back!grin

boheminan Sun 03-May-15 12:37:34

There's nowt the matter with Pound Shop broomsticks. I'd say they're considerably up-market to the ones in the 99p shop - the only difference being the 99p shop ones are missing the Hold Tight, Up and Away handle.

whitewave Sun 03-May-15 12:49:07

Not sure where I got mine as it has been in the family for years and handed down. Mind you I will be surfing in so if anyone wants to borrow mine they are welcome. It can be a bit contrary at times but as it is "going home" as it were there shouldn't be any problems.

rubysong Sun 03-May-15 12:56:29

Hope you will be joining us Dsim1948 distance is no object, nor indeed is time. I shall be engaging the magic rag rug's time shifting facility as I have non-virtual
pagan community revelry to attend before I can head towards Tintagel. I will trawl the cake stall for any left overs to bring with me and the only thing that will delay me is a boozy convivial sing song in the pub afterwards.

Falconbird Sun 03-May-15 13:09:46

It won't be cold in Tintagel because we can virtually have any weather we like, so I want warm but not too hot with maybe a light shower to cool us down.

Nannie you have one de lux broomstick but I've already booked my place on rubysong's magic rug.

nannieroz111 Sun 03-May-15 13:25:11

Can't tell you how long I've hankered after a 7 seater falcon. This at least is one I can afford! grin

Gosh, how I love this forum smile

whitewave Sun 03-May-15 13:29:10

Anyone fancy a frolic in the surf? With or without thongs the choice is yours, although I will be wearing my wet suit.
I will try and get some hot pasties sorted. You can have the traditional one with steak onion potato and turnip (Cornish for swede) or blackberry and apple served with a dollop of clotted cream.

Pittcity Sun 03-May-15 13:40:45

Just tried on my dress and it must have shrunk in the wash. I'm going to need some help with the lacing.

Better steer clear of the scones or scones, however you pronounce it!

whitewave Sun 03-May-15 13:46:40

Bring your dress with you Pitt and we can all heave you into it. I did that once with some friends on a training course from work and we laughed so much I wet myself blush so better "go" before we try

loopylou Sun 03-May-15 14:00:14

MentalnotetoaddTenapadstopackinglist for the weaker-bladdered attendees.... hmm

whitewave Sun 03-May-15 14:01:49

grin given our age that may be most of us so a lorry might be in order!

ninathenana Sun 03-May-15 14:50:15

grin whitewave

ninathenana Sun 03-May-15 14:59:19

Dsim1948 I am arriving via Merlin's transportation spell. If you give me your co ordinates and you stand outside waving your hanky I'm sure I can grab you on the way.

whitewave Sun 03-May-15 15:10:47

Imagine the scene.

A lot of batty old dears, toddling along a Cornish lane with broomstick in hand followed by an opened top lorry with various barbecue equipment, surf boards and barrels of mead, followed by Tenalady lorry.

bikergran Sun 03-May-15 15:29:07

Thistledoo I'lle have you know, I was out before 2 am catching and shearing the sheep and spinning the wool, I've washed them in Bio Fairy just to soften them up a bit.

Galen I think someone mentioned Chastity belts earlier, I really think we should carry a dozen or so with this lot!

janerowena Sun 03-May-15 15:34:21

I don't intend to toddle, I have my very own beautiful broomstick to fly in on. It's rubbish at sweeping up leaves, I hope it's better at flying. Although I may need to stop off occasionally by convenient bushes, it's a long way to Cornwall from here. grin I also have a real proper Hermione Granger wand - I knew it would come in useful one day.

As for clothes - whatever I wear, I shall probably have leggings and a warm t-shirt on underneath, it's a bit parky around Tintagel, let alone on a broomstick - unless we can control the weather.

How do you fit a broomstick with a gel saddle?

bikergran Sun 03-May-15 15:35:16

Oh yes nannier bring the foam hands! lot's of pats on back, and anyone being "Naughty" we shall point " The hand " and send them to the Dungeons they will prob enjoy that seeing as though there's half a dozen strapping guards down there bet whitewave is first down there going to have to keep our eye on that one Galen!!! hmm
