I was planning to travel through a wormhole in space/time, but the bloody thing hole seems to be full of worms, so would be grateful for a lift from someone's virtual broomstick. Shall I bring some haggis, which is full of mystery ingredients?

Gagagran Sun 03-May-15 18:53:47

Very kind of you nannieroz111 to offer a lift on your deluxe 7-seater and I gratefully accept. I'll be sat on my leaky old barge (I said barge ladies) at the entrance to the Somerset levels so we can spot each other! I shall have a box of very special muffins wink to hand round and ensure that all your cares will be forgotten. (I'm also bringing my uilleann pipes as my piano is just too heavy for a broomstick.)

I do have a large loft Galen wink wink that's all I'm saying. Merlin also grows some attractive looking mushrooms in the cellar.

whitewave Sun 03-May-15 17:05:41

The dog trampled mine, but he has been very relaxed since, so it wasn't all bad news.

We need an anthem any ideas?

Galen Sun 03-May-15 16:38:22

Ladies we are children of the 60's - so lets show the young how it really done. They haven't a clue.

bikergran Sun 03-May-15 15:35:16

Oh yes nannier bring the foam hands! lot's of pats on back, and anyone being "Naughty" we shall point " The hand " and send them to the Dungeons they will prob enjoy that seeing as though there's half a dozen strapping guards down there bet whitewave is first down there going to have to keep our eye on that one Galen!!! hmm

janerowena Sun 03-May-15 15:34:21

I don't intend to toddle, I have my very own beautiful broomstick to fly in on. It's rubbish at sweeping up leaves, I hope it's better at flying. Although I may need to stop off occasionally by convenient bushes, it's a long way to Cornwall from here. grin I also have a real proper Hermione Granger wand - I knew it would come in useful one day.

As for clothes - whatever I wear, I shall probably have leggings and a warm t-shirt on underneath, it's a bit parky around Tintagel, let alone on a broomstick - unless we can control the weather.

How do you fit a broomstick with a gel saddle?

bikergran Sun 03-May-15 15:29:07

Thistledoo I'lle have you know, I was out before 2 am catching and shearing the sheep and spinning the wool, I've washed them in Bio Fairy just to soften them up a bit.

Galen I think someone mentioned Chastity belts earlier, I really think we should carry a dozen or so with this lot!

whitewave Sun 03-May-15 15:10:47

Imagine the scene.

A lot of batty old dears, toddling along a Cornish lane with broomstick in hand followed by an opened top lorry with various barbecue equipment, surf boards and barrels of mead, followed by Tenalady lorry.

ninathenana Sun 03-May-15 14:59:19

Dsim1948 I am arriving via Merlin's transportation spell. If you give me your co ordinates and you stand outside waving your hanky I'm sure I can grab you on the way.

ninathenana Sun 03-May-15 14:50:15

grin whitewave

whitewave Sun 03-May-15 14:01:49

grin given our age that may be most of us so a lorry might be in order!

loopylou Sun 03-May-15 14:00:14

MentalnotetoaddTenapadstopackinglist for the weaker-bladdered attendees.... hmm

whitewave Sun 03-May-15 13:46:40

Bring your dress with you Pitt and we can all heave you into it. I did that once with some friends on a training course from work and we laughed so much I wet myself blush so better "go" before we try

Pittcity Sun 03-May-15 13:40:45

Just tried on my dress and it must have shrunk in the wash. I'm going to need some help with the lacing.

Better steer clear of the scones or scones, however you pronounce it!

whitewave Sun 03-May-15 13:29:10

Anyone fancy a frolic in the surf? With or without thongs the choice is yours, although I will be wearing my wet suit.
I will try and get some hot pasties sorted. You can have the traditional one with steak onion potato and turnip (Cornish for swede) or blackberry and apple served with a dollop of clotted cream.

nannieroz111 Sun 03-May-15 13:25:11

Can't tell you how long I've hankered after a 7 seater falcon. This at least is one I can afford! grin

Gosh, how I love this forum smile

Falconbird Sun 03-May-15 13:09:46

It won't be cold in Tintagel because we can virtually have any weather we like, so I want warm but not too hot with maybe a light shower to cool us down.

Nannie you have one de lux broomstick but I've already booked my place on rubysong's magic rug.

rubysong Sun 03-May-15 12:56:29

Hope you will be joining us Dsim1948 distance is no object, nor indeed is time. I shall be engaging the magic rag rug's time shifting facility as I have non-virtual
pagan community revelry to attend before I can head towards Tintagel. I will trawl the cake stall for any left overs to bring with me and the only thing that will delay me is a boozy convivial sing song in the pub afterwards.

whitewave Sun 03-May-15 12:49:07

Not sure where I got mine as it has been in the family for years and handed down. Mind you I will be surfing in so if anyone wants to borrow mine they are welcome. It can be a bit contrary at times but as it is "going home" as it were there shouldn't be any problems.
