MAKE A SENTENCE GAME [FEB '26]
Bonnie Blue the MSM should stop all reporting.
Here we are again. Happy as can be. All good friends and jolly good company. Hoorah!

Nellie - I have 7 GC and would run our of body space!!
We've been to the dentist. All well. I love being told to make an appointment for six monthly check-up. Good grief...it will be November! And the shops will be playing early Christmas carols.
AlieO You hardly left my thoughts throughout yesterday. If only we Kitcheners could rally and be of useful service to you. Virtual hugs fall a heck of a long way short of the actual support that your family needs right now. J's partner shouldn't have had to deal with providing food for the influx of visitors. Someone needed to rally the troops, organise and delegate. I nominate you, AlieO . You must be reeling from the suddenness of your daughter's death. I cannot imagine how you must be feeling. I keep thinking of the little baby.
After all the trials, troubles and tribulations you've suffered and dealt with, regarding the neighbours from hell...a bolt from the blue has negated the on-going frustrations and put things into crystal clear perspective.
You lot have been mightily busy since I last popped. Talk of ponds and fish, rogue bluebells and forget-me-nots and an absent cuckoo.
janer the business with the visiting duck had me chortling. Oh my goodness...to have an eye peering at you from beneath the rose bushes must have given you such a fright. Eek!
During the wickedly strong winds of winter, MacSporran had to tether the trunk of the Bird Cherry tree to a concrete block. The ground, being sodden, was beginning to lift around the roots. Not only did the ancient tree survive but it is a delight now that it is heavy with blossom.
Our boggy bit of garden is smothered in golden Marsh Marigolds. The gorse is striking and the wild, yellow Iris are almost ready to burst into flower.
Mishap I am truly chuffed for you. A May baby...oh, how I would love to be pushing the pram (one of my favourite Nana duties)
I'll let you know how well my root canal treatment went when my mouth comes round.
Good luck after the anaesthetic wears of Bogoff. I remember DH getting a bottle of wine ready to help when he had a root canal. He found he didn't need the wine but it seemed to get consumed any way.
A cold pack held against the face helps. I had a dental operation and although lots of painkillers the ice pack worked best.
Bogoff Mine (root canal treatment) didn't give me any uncomfortable after-effect problems. Brendawymms suggestion is sound. As for rubysongs suggestion...that too sounds very sensible. I always find that holding a mouthful of good quality Malt against any troublesome tooth to be very effective. Only trouble is...if anyone should call by...well, the fumes would give the caller the wrong impression.
MacSporran was given a prescription for a special toothpaste when he saw the dentist this morning. As I was leaving, I asked the dentist, why. She said that because MacSs immune system is compromised (leukaemia) she wouldn't wish for him to develop any infections in his mouth. I thought that that was very thoughtful of her.
As we waited to be seen, I read the jokes in the Readers Digest. I laughed out loud more than once...the other patients must have though that I had lost the plot...
soop I always head for the jokes in those when I am in a waiting-room, too!
The dishwasher has broken down - on a day when I had a load of baking to do, too. I had to wait in for a delivery of garden slabs and timber, arriving separately, so thought I would order a big Tesco delivery. Having to unload a stacked dishwasher and do it all by hand, along with the stuff from the baking and tonight's dinner, sort out a huge shop and find homes for it all and have constant interruptions has left me feeling quite frazzled. I still have a load of shopping to dispose of but just had to sit down.
Now I'm worried about the timber and slabs in the front. DBH won't be home until very late tonight, I can't shift it (I just tried to move a single piece of timber) and we have had a spate of burglaries from front gardens lately. I'll just have to hope they don't like rainy days.
janer I shall share the best joke with you lot tomorrow. Our pal has given me a number of back issues. The one that I read in the waiting room is still in the car. The joke made me rock...
As for the delivery, for goodness sake don't try to move such heavy items because you will do yourself a massive mischief. Leave the curtains open and all the lights on...that's my advice until your husband returns...after which !!! Or, like Galen do you think that you can grab a hunky man to help shift the goods to a safer place?
Time to lie down in a darkened room, janer with some soothing music playing.
Just seen the scan of our next GC, wonderful.
Bogoff Such a precious and special moment.
OMG !! , just seen the due date Friday 13th Nov !!!!! (which is also the mothers birthday)
Wow! What a super bonus. I'm all smiles.
I bet your root canal treatment was as good as painless!
Yes it was painless, amazing. Feels like I've been punched in the mouth now, but not that bad.
If it's a boy. will they call it Damien ? And what will the terrible twos be like?
number have you had all the fixtures fitted in readiness for your husband's return...or, is he home and making a good recovery?
Bella You are in my thoughts.
Gulp!!!
Time to celebrate with
&
That's DH's birthday Bogoff, he hasn't grown horns (yet!)
Very much thinking of AlieO and Bella too.
Just braved the rain and planted three new roses, hopefully they'll thrive. My roses are looking really good so far this year, unlike a flowering currant that died for no apparent reason and an old climbing rose that I over enthusiastically pruned three years ago, which despite feeding and mollycoddling is sulking miserably. DH says Gardeners World said you shouldn't be sentimental about roses but this one should have beautiful bronze buds and gloriously scented flowers.
I'm a sucker for buying neglected plants and nurturing them and usually am successful but it isn't playing ball
OK, own up, who had the last piece of fruit cake from the tin ?? I was looking forward to that with my
loopylou You are a treasure.
Bogoff when in doubt blame that Galen...where is she hiding away.
A lovely lady in our village kindly adopted a Belgian breed of dog called a Malinois (used for shepherding). As we were blethering recently, I took a couple of photos. The dog was peering out of the car window at the time. I've just finished a couple of watercolours to give her as a wee surprise. I need to reduce the pixels and then I shall upload in the album. Give me a few minutes.
Done! I shall return tomorrow. Thank you for your company.

What amazing paintings soop, I love how you capture the eyes and the dog's 'expression'.
Lovely surprise for your friend, he's a handsome fella
Soop my darling, you`re a teensy bit behind! Hubby came home 4 weeks ago today, but the grab rails weren`t fitted until Tuesday last week. Hubby must be getting better, he`s back to being his usual pain in the proverbial! And I`m SICK of the TV channel Movies4Men! It`s playing all day, every day here, he thinks he does us a huge favour by letting us have the occasional 30 minutes to watch Eastenders! Isn`t there something very sexist about a channel called Movies4Men?
