Reasons to be cheerful - not the big stuff

Marmight that sounds wonderful and it would cheer me up!

My bed, a duvet and something interesting to read. A new knitting project and - as rosequartz says - with beautiful yarn.

Joining in with the choruses when there is a folk night in the pub.

The fact that my son's tortoise is still alive.

The fact that the large tree that had fallen across the road as I was driving back from archery, fell before I reached it, not as.
I had to wait until the other ( male ) archers caught up with me and moved the tree and branches, I could get home!

I've got an old family photograph that I found when my mum died; her cousin told me who the people were in the photo but, when I looked on the back of the photo recently the list of names had disappeared. I turned the house upside down at the time looking for a copy of that list [I always duplicate things] but found nothing. I've just looked through a photo album and, guess what; a copy of the names is there. I can now start again on the family tree that I've been planning to do for ages. I'd resigned myself to not knowing who these people were. I've been planning a trip to Birmingham to do some research and I now have much more information to go on .

We have loads of old family photos and no clue who they are.
It would cheer me up no end if someone in the family knew!

I found a family photo I hadn't seen before - labelled 'Uncle Arthur, dad's brother' - whose Uncle?
Finally worked out it was my gran who wrote it, so it must be the one I thought of four Arthurs in my tree......!
I think. But I was happy working it out.

I am now more cheerful because I have finished the pile of ironing that had mounted up and now have decent trousers and a top to wear tomorrow.

What cherrs us up is the news we have just had == but we are sworn to secrecy, so cannot say what it is.

Ooh, it is obviously exciting

The grass is growing luxuriantly again – maybe too luxuriantly – after the long dry summer.

Although I have the talent of a warthog when it comes to painting and drawing, I have discovered that I can make fun collages. Strangely this has come about because my language teacher encourages the use of visual means of remembering what we have learned in class.

I can remember what I have learned in my language class.

My grandchildren were at my house at various times every day last week – and they are still looking forward to seeing me on Tuesday.

Having a VIBER message from DGS giving me all his news.

Receiving photos of our twin grandsons (now 12 weeks) via email and seeing the little one, who was in the special baby unit, putting on enough weight to be starting a double chin!

Ironing? Something that happens about every three months, if that...

Watching tits of any size cheers me up as well.
