Few clouds here this morning with the sun peeping through.

Lovely again in mid Essex though quite a strong breeze. Yes nannotgran it was lovely to see great grandson yesterday on his birthday. What he loved most of his presents was the bubblewrap which he loves to jump on and make popping noises.

I always think there is not much to recommend being older but at least we did see meadows full of wild flowers.I remember cowslips.cornflowers, bluebells and flowering grasses.
What a happy start to a dull but dry day.

Good morning to you all, it is my birthday today, and my lovely daughter has bought be a meadow of wild flowers. No idea where it is, but what a lovely idea. Every time I pass a meadow of wild flowers now, I will think of it as mine - all the poppies, daisies, buttercups, cornflowers, all growing for me. Not a lot planned otherwise, our son might come today, but he will definitely be here tomorrow for a little while, so looking forward to that. Enjoy your days.

Overcast this morning. I am sitting here watching the birds feeding, when what should appear? A hen pheasant. She seems to be enjoying the bird seed. I'm picking up my sister later and we're going to see Dad.
