Well, due to the rugby, The Voice and Match of the Day, our TV hasn`t even been switched on today. I`ve really missed my weekly dose of Casualty.
Apart from that, greetings to all.

numberplease you have a sympathiser here for the same reasons. Today is no different because I do not follow Mr. Selfridge or watch Poldark. I must have blinked and missed the exciting winter viewing so now I am wondering why I am paying the BBC a large amount of money each year to have my set switched off. At least we are saving electricity!

Well, I watched the England game and it was a very exciting match, very well played by both teams. Such a shame we lost.

It's a glorious day here and I was planning to do some tidying at the front, but my shoulder/arm is a bit too sore. So, no sweeping, no hoovering, no window cleaning!

Charleygirl Ireland were the overall winners of the Six Nations encounter.

I never did find rugby to my liking but, one day I watched a match in which Scotland were doing their utmost to score points and, strange as it may seem, I was converted [note the pun!] My number one favourite sport is tennis. Wimbledon is a marvellous treat. I understand that Andy was thrashed by Novak in their latest encounter. I believe that Novak will now play Roger. Wow!

Bella I trust that you are well. I was reading only yesterday that baby wipes do not degrade. Apparently those that are disposed of are causing problems of one sort or another.

It was amazing how the (rugby) games opened out when they knew they were pursuing a certain total of points. Really good rugby - not much of the shoving and grunting thank goodness. Scotland must learn not to give away cheap penalties!

Just got back from archery.
I was starving so I made myself a bacon and tomato sandwich. It was the first one I've had for years. It was lovely but now I'm feeling very guilty.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.....and very tempted to follow suit!

But I'm still hungry and I had two slices of bread three bacon medallions and a large tomato. The bread was !wiped around the pan' to -- mop up-- not waste the fat! Heaven knows how many calories. Probably my weeks allowance and I've got lobster salad for dinner!

If diets begin tomorrow, I'll go and get myself a chocalate bar. Or shall I have a marzipan covered in chocolate bar?

My problem is that I still have tins of biscuits and chocolate hanging around from Christmas......and I can't bring myself to throw them away and attempts to palm them off on unsuspecting friends generously give them away have failed because virtually everyone I know are dieting!

Feel a lot better after that marzipan. Now if I could only get warm. I got thoroughly chilled at archery.

Galen, marzipan covered in chocolate was definitely the right choice.

Lona I've got a sore shoulder too at the the moment, though I think it's just pulled muscles. Gin and tonic helps.

Galen Did you save me some of the chocolate coated marzipan? All of a sudden my mouth is watering. I would love a choc coated Brazil nut. Tough! Nothing remotely like in our cupboard.

anno I agree with what you say about the games becoming less push and shove and very much more creative and positive during the championship. The cheap penalties do mount up. I have to hide behind the sofa when the ref blows that blasted whistle.

nannieroz and dustyangel If your arms are tender, I shall find the Deep Heat and after I've attended to you, I shall plump up the cushion and you may lounge on the chaise. The view of the sea is to be enjoyed from there. Pot of tea very brewed.

loopylou MacSporran has repaired the post box that is attached to the gate post. The paint had cracked, thanks to the winter weather. We bought some red, tough oil-cloth and he has made a super job of recovering the entire box (not just the flap.) Clever idea of mine

Rory is helping MacSporran...he shadows him and won't be coming indoors until the jobs are complete. After which, he'll whinge for food, wash himself thoroughly and take himself off to bed. It's such a tough life.
