anno I agree with what you say about the games becoming less push and shove and very much more creative and positive during the championship. The cheap penalties do mount up. I have to hide behind the sofa when the ref blows that blasted whistle.

loopylou MacSporran has repaired the post box that is attached to the gate post. The paint had cracked, thanks to the winter weather. We bought some red, tough oil-cloth and he has made a super job of recovering the entire box (not just the flap.) Clever idea of mine

Rory is helping MacSporran...he shadows him and won't be coming indoors until the jobs are complete. After which, he'll whinge for food, wash himself thoroughly and take himself off to bed. It's such a tough life.

Lona I've got a sore shoulder too at the the moment, though I think it's just pulled muscles. Gin and tonic helps.

Feel a lot better after that marzipan. Now if I could only get warm. I got thoroughly chilled at archery.

B....r the diet for today, fresh start tomorrow making sure nothing vaguely sinful has been left lurking in the house?
My problem is that I still have tins of biscuits and chocolate hanging around from Christmas......and I can't bring myself to throw them away and attempts to palm them off on unsuspecting friends generously give them away have failed because virtually everyone I know are dieting!

If diets begin tomorrow, I'll go and get myself a chocalate bar. Or shall I have a marzipan covered in chocolate bar?

But I'm still hungry and I had two slices of bread three bacon medallions and a large tomato. The bread was !wiped around the pan' to -- mop up-- not waste the fat! Heaven knows how many calories. Probably my weeks allowance and I've got lobster salad for dinner!

Just got back from archery.
I was starving so I made myself a bacon and tomato sandwich. It was the first one I've had for years. It was lovely but now I'm feeling very guilty.

It was amazing how the (rugby) games opened out when they knew they were pursuing a certain total of points. Really good rugby - not much of the shoving and grunting thank goodness. Scotland must learn not to give away cheap penalties!

Well I never...so many sore shoulders and arms... never mind, I wouldn't want any of our Kitcheners to make matters worse by doing unnecessary "stuff" around the house. Join me in the kitchen and enjoy a well-deserved restful Sunday. The sun is shining and the sea sparkles.

I never did find rugby to my liking but, one day I watched a match in which Scotland were doing their utmost to score points and, strange as it may seem, I was converted [note the pun!] My number one favourite sport is tennis. Wimbledon is a marvellous treat. I understand that Andy was thrashed by Novak in their latest encounter. I believe that Novak will now play Roger. Wow!

numberplease you have a sympathiser here for the same reasons. Today is no different because I do not follow Mr. Selfridge or watch Poldark. I must have blinked and missed the exciting winter viewing so now I am wondering why I am paying the BBC a large amount of money each year to have my set switched off. At least we are saving electricity!

Well, due to the rugby, The Voice and Match of the Day, our TV hasn`t even been switched on today. I`ve really missed my weekly dose of Casualty.

Dare I ask, did England win? Were these matches for a cup or something? I know zilch about it- but I am so sorry that Scotland lost.
