Whilst I was listening, heart in mouth; to the conservatory roof flexing and bending.
Hopefully not prior to flying away a super-Nasty gust of wind blew our big gates open so out in the hail and wind to secure those before they banged off their hinges.
Soon as I got back indoors to drip it cleared up.
Hey ho.
We've not long moved in to this retirement cottage by the sea.
What a crock it is, every day a new job or worry.

Hi Retiredguy, it's always the way isn't it.... You buy your dream home and then find you have to spend a fortune gettin it right!

It was quite nice here first thing, just a bit of a breeze - but now we're being lashed with squalls too. Ho hum, soon be spring!

Good wishes to everyone.
Yes it poured this morning............... but I already had to put my gardener/handyman off because I'm not really well enough to be outside - flareup of colitis and shivery, temperature I think. Stayed in bed this morning! I feel better in the warm.
I'm sad because I will not be going to singing group this afternoon. Must let them know.

It was beautiful here in central East Angular, a balmy 12C, until half an hour ago when a large brown cloud arrived and proceeded to dump a load of large hail on us, swiftly followed by strong winds, thunder and lightning and heavy rain. Not at all pleasant but still preferable to snow in my opinion.

Kiora be philosophical about your training day - you can imagine those higher managers trying to out b**sh*t each other and being paranoid about protecting their perilous jobs. The last course I attended begore retiring was delivered by the SUMO Man (honestly grin ). His strapline - Shut Up, Move On - geddit? This motivational day was a last ditch attempt to save management jobs and failed miserably, to the benefit of a few of us who got an unexpected redundancy package months before we were retiring anyway. Keep your fingers crossed!

Started off with gales at about 7 ,plenty of rain then snow now windy but the sun is shining and a lovely blue sky. The only thing we haven't had in the last five hours is hail. Had the gutters cleaned out yesterday in anticipation of the snow to come. I'm glad the man wasn't up a ladder cleaning them out today.
