Teresa May in her speech yesterday, as reported on the TV, seems to have inferred that indigenous Brits are antis semitic and that people of the Jewsih faith need particular protection. Are we not all in need of protection be we Christain, Muslim, Jew, female or a minority ethnic.
As very small proportion of any society are anti something but to brand the people of the UK as being particularly anti Semitic is just wrong. Even the spokesperson for the board of British Jews said that's it's only a very small proportion of this countries citizens are anti Semitic,. Perhaps a similar proportion of people are anti something else.
One gets the feeling these days that to say anything about Jewish people may be construed as anti Semitic.
