Happy New Year to everybody, and may 2015 be good to you. It's been mild here today and the wind has threatened to get up, but hasn't done much about it. Lovely and quiet out, and we ran along the white line on the main road this morning just because we could!

happy new year to everyone. The day started calm and dry so we got out for a walk with one of our daughters, her friend and friends 2 year old, who loved jumping in the puddles. Back home, omelettes for lunch and now lazing on the sofa, which is my plan for the rest of the afternoon smile

Happy new year everyone. It is mild and windy here. DH and I watched the fireworks on TV and then went to bed, I don't have the stamina for partying these days.

Happy New Year smile I hope you're all well.

A very Happy New Year to you all.

It's a beautiful day here today. A little warmer in the shade and would be a lovely day for a walk to welcome the New Year.
I'm staying in because I still can't stop coughing once I start so it's a very fervent wish for Good Health for all of us this year. sunshine

Very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year to you all!

Mild and overcast today. Back to walking the dog now my throat has cleared. I t has left me with a nose that bleeds occasionally so dripping nose and the blowing it on walk resulted in walking with tissue pressed against it for what seemed ages - b- nuisance!

Happy New Year everyone from NI. Mild, wet and very windy but it`s better than snow and ice as we are visiting friends in the country for lunch and I hate driving in snowy conditions.

Happy New Year to all Gransnetters. Good for you, Mishap! Dark, damp and windy here in Manchester but glad to be back in my own house after spending last night with a recently bereaved friend and her 2 rescue dogs. Today is the first time over the holidays that I will be alone and able to please myself as to what to do/eat/watch on TV so I intend to make the most of it.

Happy New Year to all.

I have just got up!

A Happy and Healthy New Year everyone. It's damp and cloudy in South Wales but milder than it has been. Am having a very leisurely start to the day and then doing some more sorting/cleaning as after visitors it is only really the living room which is clean and tidy. Having a friend arriving for coffee early afternoon then think I will go for a walk and settle down to catch up on the tele I have recorded. Have a lovely day whatever you decide to do.

Happy New Year everyone - a windy and wet day here on the Ards Peninsula. When the rain eases I will go for a walk to blow away the cobwebs.

Happy New Year to all from a damp Oxfordshire.

I slept through midnight until 1am, and then proceeded to have the worst night in ages! Was on the computer for a bit and then had a bad stomach until 5am........yes I'm feeling a bit better now!

I hope this heralds a good year after this sort of start.......!

Happy 2015 to all. We're expecting a visit from a friend of DS1 with his wife & baby, then DS2, GF & dog later in the day. A nice meal but no housework!

Happy new year to you all, a dull but very mild start here. I've nothing planned so I shall wait and see what happens, with the day and the year!

Good morning all. A sunny, frosty New Year's Day -perfect. I've flung all the windows open even though it's -2 outside to welcome 2015, whilst I do all the washing up from last night. Then off for a lovely tramp about. Back home to fires and feet up with a good book.

Happy New Year to all gransnetters and the lovely people who set it up and organise it. DH is in bed with a hangover. I've been up for ages, ready to hit the shops. Are they open? I'm not sure. In just over a week our third grandchild will be born, so it's an exciting but anxious time for us.

Happy New Year to all you lovely gransnetters - languishing in bed this morning at the Radisson Blu hotel Glasgow. Checkout not until 12-1 thank goodness. I just loved the evening here full of entertainment and meeting new friends. Must get up now so we can enjoy the all day breakfast. We'll fast sometime soon. Have a great day everyone. smile

Happy new year from Devon. It isn't raining. Yet.

Happy New Year, sent with love and good wishes from me in N.Staffs. It is grey and miserable here so not very inspiring. DH off to football again this afternoon, lucky chap!

Mildred Thu 01-Jan-15 09:34:56

It's mild and damp in Liverpool which is our normal weather for any time of the year off to daughter's for tea with the grandchildren later today chaotic but fun.

Happy New Year from a grey over cast damp north essex this morning

Good morning and a Happy New Year to you all. Much milder but overcast here in Chester. Not a lot planned for today apart from the usual walks with the dog and maybe a little quilting this afternoon while catching up with some radio programmes. Mr A will potter around and do his own thing as usual.

Hope you all have a good day.

hildajenniJ Thu 01-Jan-15 09:18:09

A very happy he year to you all.
Good morning from a cloudy but fairly bright Northumberland. I am alone at present. When I rose, I discovered a note in the kitchen from DH. He has gone to WORK. Apparently the Co-op has no staff,he says he will be back for lunch! hmm
