kittylester Wed 18-Feb-15 17:15:36

soop Wed 18-Feb-15 17:00:54

So, what's Judas' dad doing lurking in the corner. I'm confused dot com.

loopylou Wed 18-Feb-15 16:40:33

Judas' dad? hmm
Lovely to hear 'Kitty' has owners looking for him too.

soop Wed 18-Feb-15 16:38:20

Anya you do not need to be a cat/dog/horse/parrot/hamster lover...all you need is compassion and "stuff" gets sorted. sunshine

soop Wed 18-Feb-15 16:35:27

kitty...I'm confused. Who is Iscariot? Do tell.

soop Wed 18-Feb-15 16:32:47

Oh thank you dear Anya ...that is what I would call a proper result. Won't the owners to chuffed that their cat has been found (and treated well) and that he is being given the help he needs to combat an infection. Bless you and your kind neighbour. There are many individuals who would have not shown a stray, matted, flea-ridden animal compassion. flowers

Anya Wed 18-Feb-15 16:17:43

Wondered who Iscariot was!!

Yes, number a happy ending. I'm not really 'a cat person' (ducks for cover) but any I have owned in the past have come to me as strays.

numberplease Wed 18-Feb-15 15:59:37

Looks like there`ll be a happy ending then, that`s great news Anya.

kittylester Wed 18-Feb-15 15:59:16

Iscariot I have! confused

Anya Wed 18-Feb-15 15:28:55

KittyL grin

Anya Wed 18-Feb-15 15:27:39

Sorry soop I didn't mean to keep you guessing about Kitty. So I'm back, without Kitty and sitting down with a cup of tea.

Kitty does not belong to lady who died. Good news is she is chipped. Even better news she's on The Wanted List (vet's phrase) so owners have been looking for her.

But Kitty is not a she, but a he! He is very underweight, matted, flea-ridden and running a temperature. Vet given him an antibiotic injection and keeping him in overnight (at least) and will contact owners. Vet says good news though that Kitty is eating, drinking, and purring.

I suppose that's the end of it, though I'll ring the CPL and update them too.

kittylester Wed 18-Feb-15 15:10:52

Hi everyone! Sorry I've not been around much lately but Iscariot been lurking in the corner!

I thought I'd better explain that the stray kitty that is going to the vets is not me and I don't have fleas!! grin

We have had numerous litters of kittens and never had a single puddle! We have had puddles and worse from old cats though!

But, talking of puddles, DD3 (who lives with us) has decided that potty training her eldest would be a good ideabut didn't bank on the little one joining in, so, now we have puddles!!

soop Wed 18-Feb-15 14:15:11

Anya I cannot tell you how many visits I've made to our kitchen today. MacS and I are pleased that you've contacted the CPL. In the meantime, well done for arranging a visit to the vet. I look forward to hearing all about it. smile

Anya Wed 18-Feb-15 14:09:55

As I discovered after having her on my lap!

Anya Wed 18-Feb-15 14:09:19

PS she has fleas

Anya Wed 18-Feb-15 14:05:09

Update on Kitty. Had her on my knee while drinking coffee next door, but had to exclude Plod as he was hissing and spitting and growling at her. So that plan wasn't going to work sad

Rang CPL and left message on answerphone. They rang back and asked if I could hold onto her until they can arrange something, but any chance I can take her to vet in the meantime to see if she's chipped and for a check over. I said I can't have her indefinitely but ok for couple of days. They have vets they use apparently and one isn't far from us.

I have an appintmment at 2.30 so will feed back after that. Kitty meanwhile seems unperturbed by all the fuss and is now residing in my conservatory. I'm scared to let her out in case she does a bunk so she has a litter tray - old seed tray with last years playpit sand, which she has used hmm

soop Wed 18-Feb-15 13:52:18

Anya MacSporran asked after kitty. I told him what you've been doing to make her comfortable. He grinned from ear to ear. He also says, well done.

Agus Wed 18-Feb-15 13:14:40

Huge brownie points Anya. Kitty certainly knew the right house to go to and was so,lucky it was you she came to.

I have never had a litter of kittens in the house Jane but could well imagine a bunch of newborns would be a messy business.

soop Wed 18-Feb-15 12:18:35

jane When I read about your five HOUR stint (for want of a better work) my jaw dropped into my boots. I trust that you are not feeling any adverse aches, pains, twinges after that lot. Providing you are happy to be that busy, I'm pleased for you. However, I do worry...hmm

Rory performed just one puddle when he first came to live with us. It happened when the vet came to the house and attempted get him to go into a cat carrier. He is the most particular of felines and makes a huge effort to tidy his litter tray after use.

soop Wed 18-Feb-15 12:08:53

Anya Anya Anya I feel like hugging you...you really are a lady after my own heart. I've been thinking a lot about that wee cat. She is warm and dry and fed and watered. For now that is the VERY best that you and your dear neighbour can do. I'm waiting for the next update with bated breath. Very well done. Five gold stars smile smile smile

Charleygirl Tue 17-Feb-15 20:58:56

Anya I am so pleased to hear that the cat has a warm, dry bed for the night with its own personal guard dog! It must have been nice to have been welcomed by her when she knew that more food would be coming. She will settle and sleep well tonight, poor little mite.
